Christmas Pines are Pretty Pines

This week my card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of  Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.  I used the new stamp set Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlits dies bundle along with the Pine Bough Textured Embossing Folder.  I love the pine bough thinlets.  There are three different sizes which create such pretty foliage.  I also used the bow dies to create the Real Red and Bermuda Bay bows.  The Pine Bough textured embossing folder created a beautiful background on the Natural Ivory card stock.  After stamping the sentiment I used the 2-1/2″ circle punch to die cut it.   I love this bundle.  There are so many possibilities!

Thank you with Botanical Blooms

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim.  These are the new In Colors from Stampin’ Up!

I recently had a birthday and and needed to send a thank you card to my friend.  I created this card with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the sentiment is from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set. The layer with the die cut leaf edge I first applied ink to the uncut layer with a brayer.  I inked it up then rolled it off a few times before rolling onto the layer because I wanted a lighter shade of the Dapper Denim to provide contrast to the flowers.  After drying I die cut the leaf edge then adhered to a layer of Dapper Denim.

I used the Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White card stock to created the flowers. The leaves are Dapper Denim.  The Whisper White was a bit stark so I used the dotted stamp from the Timeless Textures set.  I stamped some of the ink off before stamping on some of the dots so the color is of different intensity.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark first then Dapper Denim and heat embossed with retired Iridescent embossing powder to make it sparkle.

I hope my card inspires you to play with these colors!

A Little Kindness Goes A Long Way

Inspiration for my card this week comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.  Although, the color Blackberry Bliss is retired you’re welcome to use a color similar like Elegant Eggplant.  I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set to stamp all the background elements.  I also used the Bitty Butterfly punch to die cut the butterfly.  For sparkle I added basic rhinestones, gold sequins and used Gold Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush on the sunburst, butterfly and Crushed Curry dots.

A Warm Pineapple Hello!

My card this week is inspired by the color challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  My new pineapple stamp had not been inked and these colors inspired me to use it.  I like the stamp because its large size is perfect for stamping on card fronts.

A Swirly Thank You

This week’s challenge is a color challenge, Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette and Gold.  I created my card using the Swirly Bird Bundle.  This bundle is so much fun!  You can create swirlies in different sizes and it has a great dotted stamp which adds texture.  I used this stamp with gold ink for a background.   Here’s my card inspired by page 152 of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Catalog and Idea Book.

Split Top Botanical Garden Box

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Smokey Slate.  For this challenge I wanted to make something other than a card so I made this split top box inspired by my friend.  I used the Botancial Builder Framelits to create the flowers and leaves.  To make the box go to Splitcoast stampers for a tutorial.

I hope you’re inspired by these colors and will share your project with us.  Go to Hand Stamped Sentiments for more inspiration.

A Mixed and Beautiful Bunch Birthday Card

My card this week is inspired by the color challenge of Blackberry Bliss, Smokey Slate and Pool Party.  I stamped flowers from the Mixed Bunch and Beautiful Bunch stamp sets.  For the leaves I used the Bird Builder punch to die cut them from Blackberry Bliss and Silver Foil paper.  I also used the punch to die cut the bird.  The background is stamped with Smokey Slate using the Hardwood stamp.  I embellished the center of the flowers with basic rhinestones.  The edges of the card is sponged with Blackberry Bliss.

Happy Easter Chick

My inspiration for this week’s card comes from the Hand Stamped Sentiments  color challenge, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron, and a childhood favorite treat.  A beautifully decorated vintage diorama sugar egg.  I was always fascinated by these eggs because there was another world inside them filled with an Easter scene with a bunny, chick or lamb.  So cute and yummy!

My inspiration – Diorama sugar egg

Stampin Up Honeycomb happiness easter egg and chick cardI die cut two scalloped ovals  and one smaller oval for my card and stamped with the chick from the stamp set Honeycomb Happiness embellished with a honeycomb sponged with So Saffron.  I decorated the egg with flowers die cut from Calypso Coral card stock with the flower from the Ity Bitty Accents Punch pack and the Petite Petals Punch.  I also used the retired Itty Bitty shapes punch pack flower to die cut other flowers I stamped from the retired Your Perfect Day stamp set.  The leaves are from the Bird Builder punch.  The butterfly is stamped from the Butterfly Basics set and die cut with the Bitty Butterfly punch.  I then decorated with basic pearl strips.

Rose Wonder Birthday Card

My card for this week’s color challenge of Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Crumb Cake was created with new products from the Occasions catalog.  The rose cutout and stamp set are from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set  + Rose Garden Thinlits Dies bundle.  I water colored the rose with Blushing Bride and Rose Red using an Aqua painter brush.  This was a simple card to create.  I CASE’D it from the OnStage conference.  I like how my card turned out.

Reason for the Season Christmas Card

An elegant Christmas card is what I created, inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Very Vanilla, Metallic Gold and Basic Black.  I used the bundle with the Festive Flower Builder Punch and the Reason for the Season Stamp set.  With the Festive Flower Builder Punch you can create beautiful Poinsettias like the one I created from Vellum paper.

I stamped Vellum paper with Gold Encore ink.   For the center of the flower I used retired embellishment Frosted Finishes from last year’s Holiday Catalog.  Behind the flower I used Gold trim cording.  The corners of the layers (Very Black, Gold Foil) of the card I punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on a 1-1/2″ x 4″ strip of Very Vanilla then heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
