Friend Framed Florets Card

With spring around the corner and inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Fresh Freesia, Pear Pizzazz and Balmy Blue I created this card with the Framed Florets bundle.

I love the color Fresh Freesia and sad it will be retiring soon. I cased this card from page 65 of the mini catalog. These inspiration colors together were perfect for creating a card with Framed Florets bundle. The card base is Fresh Freesia card stock and stamped the background with Fresh Freesia. I used the gold metallic paper for the frame and added Wink of Stella to the flowers. The inside oval I die cut from Shimmer White and water-colored with Fresh Freesia. The sentiment is stamped in black StazOn.

Thinking of You with Season of Chic

Happy 2023! Hand Stamped Sentiments is back with a color challenge of Petal Pink, Pool Party and Mango Melody. Love these colors together which inspired me to create a card using the Season of Chic bundle and Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

This Season of Chic bundle is versatile for making many types of cards for all seasons. Hence the name Season Chic. I created this thinking of you card using the seashells.

I embossed the Pool Party layer with the Time Worn Type Embossing Folder. I then die cut the netting using the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. followed by stamping the shells with Mango Melody and Petal Pink on Basic White then die cutting. I also die cut the shells and leaves from Petal Pink paper. The front shell I die cut two shells the rim in Pool Party and the inside from Basic White then water-colored in Pool Party. The leaves on the right side of the card I die cut from Mango Melody. The small shell on the left side I die cut from the Distressed Gold. The sentiment I heat embossed in gold then embellished and die cut using the Tailor Made Tag dies then embellished with gold Elegant Trim. The rest of the card is embellished with Sold Faceted Gems.

A Fitting Florets Christmas Card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Cherry Cobble, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. These colors are perfect for Christmas cards so I decided to create a Christmas card with the Fitting Florets Collection.

There are two stamp sets, dies, paper and embellishments in Fitting Florets collection. I used the Soft Succulent as my card base then used a Cherry Cobbler layer followed by the DSP. I colored the berries on the DSP with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ blends. For the frame and sprigs I die cut using the Bough Punch and Fitting Florests die from the frame out of the Distressed Gold paper. I love how the gold looks antiqued. The greeting I heat embossed with gold then colored the buds on the sprigs with Cherry Cobble blends. For embellishing I added a bow of retired 1/2″ Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and retired Cherry Cobbler rhinestones from the Holiday Basic Jewels.

Deepest Sympathy with Painted Poppies

My card this week is a sympathy card created with the stamp sets Painted Poppies, Peaceful Moments and Heal your Heart. I also created this card for the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Pool Party, Starry Night and Pumpkin Pie.

I started with a Basic White card base and stamped the texture with the stamp from the Painted Poppies set in Starry Night., The Pumpkin Pie die cut poppy is framed with silver foil and layered over Shimmery White card stock. The leaves were die cut from Starry Night and Pool Party. The Shimmery White layer is framed with Pool Party and Starry Night. The inside of the card I stamped with the poppies images from the Painted Poppies and stamped with the sentiment from Sale-a-bration Heal Your Heart set.

A Splendid Day for Sending Hugs

My card is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge of Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay.

I used the Stampin’ UP! Splendid Thoughts stamp set and dies to create my card. The background layer I color washed with Bermuda Bay and a water painter. I let dry then stamped with the leaves. I stamped the larger leaves with Black Memento and water colored with Bermuda Bay using a water painter then die cut two of these. I also die cut the open leaf foliage in Rich Razzleberry and Basic White. I also stamped foliage in Calypso Coral then die cut. I arranged the foliage in the middle with glue dots and dimensionals and added gold trim ribbon. I stamped the sentiment then die cut using the stitched half circle from the bundle.

Friends are like Seashells, Beautiful

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge of gorgeous Stampin’ Up Colors Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather and Orchid Oasis. These colors to me are beach colors so I decided to use the Friends are like Seashells stamp set, Seashell dies and Seashells 3D embossing folder. Used together they create beautiful textured cards. The background gradient I created using the blending brushes to blend Orchid Oasis at the top, Highland Heather in the center then Coastal Cabana on the bottom. The order I used the products to create the shells layer are I die cut the seashells, stamped the seashells then embossed. When I stamped the seashells I used the blending brushes to apply ink to the stamp then stamp the image. Using this technique created beautiful gradients of color.

I finished the card by embellishing with beautiful Opal Rounds. I love they are iridescent just like bubbles.

Visit Hand Stamped Sentiments to see more projects inspired by these colors then join us! We’d love to see what you created using these colors.

The color challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is with the 2022 – 2024 Stampin’ Up! In Colors. Use 3 or all 5 In-Colors. It’s up to you. I love all the colors so I decided to use all 5 and use the Nature’s Print bundle.

The sentiment I stamped in Sweet Sorbet then die cut with the circle Stitched Shapes dies I also die cut leaf foliage in Starry Night and the tag layer behind the sentiments in Orchid Oasis. Easter Bunny in Bloom

This week I was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point and Tina Wardell’s card. She used the masking technique to create a cute bunny card. I used the same technique and Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge colors and CASED her card.

I stamped on Shimmer White card stock the flower image first with Memento Black ink then masked it and stamped the bunny image with Smoky Slate ink. The flowers and butterfly were colored with Stampin’ Up Bermuda Bay light and dark alcohol markers. I used Stampin’ Write markers Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point since these colors are not available in alcohol markers. I used a Stampin’ Up Blender Pen with Coastal Cabana to softly color around the bunny and flower images. The sentiment I stamped in Memento Black then added clear rhinestones for some shine. I really enjoyed coloring the images.

Easter Friends say Happy Easter

I was inspired to create this card from Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge – Mint Macaron, So Saffron and Fresh Freesia. These colors are perfect for spring and for Easter. I recently purchased the Stampin’ Up Easter Friends and combined this stamp set with the color challenge to create an Easter card.

I used the three largest scalloped dies from the Scalloped Contours Dies. I used Fresh Freesia for the largest scalloped die then used DSP from the Hand-Penned DSP collection. The sentiment is from the Easter Friends stamp set and stamped in Mint Macaron on Basic White card stock. The cute ducky is stamped in Gray Granite and sponged with So Saffron. The legs, feet and beak were colored with a Blender Pen in So Saffron and colored darker than the body which I used a sponge dauber. To embellish I used Fresh Freesia color jewels from the 2021-2021 In Color Jewels. The ribbon is 3/8″ Open Weave Fresh Freesia. The inside of the card is stamped with Fresh Freesia sentiment and chick image in Gray Granite and sponged with So Saffron. Sentiment and images are from the Easter Friends Stampin’ Up stamp set.

Take the color challenge and see what you can create with these beautiful spring colors. Go to HHS and be inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments design team.

Flowering Tulips

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink and Pumpkin Orange. These colors made me think of tulips so I used the Flowering Tulips bundle to create this card. I also CASED my card from Stephanie Kauffman. It was fun to make the tulips for this card.

After die cutting the tulip flowers I left the die on the cut flowers and sponged color on them then put them together.

I followed Stephanie’s instructions for making the trellis which was made with a square die. Here are the pictures she posted on her FB post on how she made the trellis. What I did to create the trellis was to measure the square die from the retired stitched shapes then I drew the trellis using Illustrator. You can download the PDF .
