A Fitting Florets Christmas Card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Cherry Cobble, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. These colors are perfect for Christmas cards so I decided to create a Christmas card with the Fitting Florets Collection.

There are two stamp sets, dies, paper and embellishments in Fitting Florets collection. I used the Soft Succulent as my card base then used a Cherry Cobbler layer followed by the DSP. I colored the berries on the DSP with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ blends. For the frame and sprigs I die cut using the Bough Punch and Fitting Florests die from the frame out of the Distressed Gold paper. I love how the gold looks antiqued. The greeting I heat embossed with gold then colored the buds on the sprigs with Cherry Cobble blends. For embellishing I added a bow of retired 1/2″ Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and retired Cherry Cobbler rhinestones from the Holiday Basic Jewels.

Perched in a Tree for Christmas

My card this week is inspired by the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I used the Perched in a Tree stamps and die set to create my card. I used Night of Navy for my card base, retired Rings of Love dsp and Basic White.

The bird and branch I stamped on Basic White then die cut. The three leaves are die cut from Soft Sea Foam then lightly sponged with Soft Suede.

Christmas in July with Paper Pumpkin

This week my card was inspired by the Inspiration Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. With temperatures of 100 degrees almost every day it’s easy to day dream of a trip to the mountains to experience cooler weather. Like most crafters I have materials and in this case Paper Pumpkin kits I haven’t used but meant to. The inspiration images from Hand Stamped Sentiments looks like a Hallmark Christmas movie. I don’t yet have the Sale-a-Bration Tree Lot dies which are free with a $100 purchase from Stampin’ Up!, but oh wait I do have a die cut of a camper from the July 2021 Paper Pumpkin. I know it’s not a current kit however you can subscribe to Paper Pumpkin to receive a monthly kit to create quick cute cards. The cool thing about these kits is you receive EVERYTHING you need to create the cards. LOVE IT! You can put them together using the included instruction or you can create cards of your own design. These are great to take on a trip and be crafty. In my case I was able to create a Christmas card with a cute camper.

I created my card as a Christmas card to go along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge so I used the pieces from the kit and added gold ribbon and Red Rhinestones and clear rhinestones colored with Stampin’ Blends Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy. The sentiment is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set. This set is has many great sentiments for Christmas cards.

A Poinsettia Place Christmas

I have to finish up my Christmas cards and the mad dash is on to send them out this weekend.  One of the cards I created is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Misty Moonlight.

I created this card using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle.  Love this bundle.  The bundle includes dies that also emboss.  I die cut the poinsettias from Whisper White, embossed and sponged the petals with Cherry Cobbler.  The centers are beaded pearls which is part of the suite.  I also stamped the leaves an berries on Whisper White and  die cut using the bundle.  I used the Misty Moonlight ribbon behind the poinsettia.  The silver sprigs I die cut with the Sprig punch out silver foil.  The card base is Misty Moonlight and the Old Olive layer is DSP from the Poinsettia Place DSP, the White Vellum paper is the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.  The paper is flocked and so pretty.  The sentiment from the Poinsettia Place stamp set I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

See what other beautiful projects the design team created with this color challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Misty Moonlight.

A Toile Christmas

Thanksgiving is in a couple of days and it’s going to be a small celebration with just my sister, my husband and me.  But we’re grateful we’re healthy and together.  This weekend I’m in Christmas card making mode and one of the cards I’m going to duplicate is the card I created based on this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  I used the Toile Christmas stamp set and Christmas Cardinal Dies.  I also used the Woodland embossing folder and the Toile Tidings Designer Series paper.  The green tag behind the cardinal I die cut using the Tasteful Labels dies.  The ribbon is 3/8″ Real Red Sheer ribbon. The cardinal is stamped with Real Red ink.  Difficult to see but I also colored the cardinal with Clear Wink of Stella.  The sprig and greeting I stamped with Garden Green.

I also used the Sprig punch to die cut gold foil sprigs and red basic rhinestones to embellish the berries.

A Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas

My card for this challenge was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge and the beautiful Poinsettia Petals bundle.  The card was designed by friend and fellow stamper Minnie Cieslak.  She created this card using the Poinsettia bundle, Evergreen Forest 3d Embossing folder and the Stitched Seasons.  The suite also contains the beautiful pearl and rhinestone centers for the Poinsettias.  The greeting is heat embossed in Silver.  The foliage and frame are die cut from Silver foil.  The inside is also stamped with images from this stamp set.

Merry Christmas with a Flight of Fancy

I was so excited to create with the Flight of Fancy of stamp set from the Stampin’ Up current holiday mini catalog.  It features images for three different holidays – Christmas, Halloween and Valentines.  I’m so loving these super cute images of an angel, witch and cherub.  I created this Christmas card with color inspiration of Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake, from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Stampin up Christmas card, Stampin Up Flights of Fancy card, angel cards, Stampin Up

I used Whisper White for the card base then used Crumb Cake embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  The Mint Macaron I die cut using the second to largest rectangle die.  I stamped the angel image with Momento Black on Whisper White then die cut using the second to largest of the Stitched Nested Labels die.  I colored the image with SU blender pens with Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake ink pads.  After letting the image dry I used a small brush to paint with Champagne Mist ink on the hair, tunic, snowflakes and roofs to add shimmer.  I stamped the greeting with Cinnamon Cider and Versamark then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I like how it made the color a bit metallic.  The Mint Macaron ribbon is from the holiday mini catalog, Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon combo pack and used the 1/4″ Cinnamon Cider twill ribbon.  For extra sparkle I added basic rhinestones.

A Winter Woods Christmas

My card this weeks is inspired by the Inspiration Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The image that inspired me the most was the Christmas tree.  I decided to use the In the Woods dies and Winter Woods stamp set.  The sentiment is die cut from the Merry Christmas set and stamped with the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

I stamped the trees from the Winter Woods stamp set then embossed vellum with the Woodland Embossing  Folder.  I also used the embossing paste on the tree for the snow.  For extra sparkle I added basic rhinestones and the retired medium star punch to die cut two stars from silver glimmer paper to top the tree.

A Toile Christmas Cardinal

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Shaded Spruce.  When I first saw these colors I immediately thought Christmas and took the opportunity to finally use my new Toile Christmas Bundle.  I had to get this bundle because of the cardinal stamp and die.  I love cardinals and actually see them quite often in my backyard.  They are beautiful birds with their bight red feathers.

I knew I wanted to use the Woodland Embossing folder for the background to my card.  I inked up the folder with Coastal Cabana and embossed a Very Vanilla card stock layer and layered over a Real Red and Very Vanilla Christmas Toile DSP.  I stamped the cardinal and branch with black Momento ink then colored it with Real Red and Shaded Spruce dark and light blender pens.  I stamped the greeting with Versa mark then heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.  I then die cut the cardinal, branch and greeting with the dies then adhered using glue dots.  I also used retired 3/8″ Real Red mixed satin ribbon.

A Winter Woods Christmas Card

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is and inspiration challenge.  The Christmas images inspired me to use the Winter Woods stamp set which is in the  Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set coordinates with the In the Woods Framelits dies which makes it easy to die cut the trees.  I wanted to create a simple card I could easily duplicate and came up with this snowy scene.

Stampin Up Winter Woods Christmas cardI die cut the trees from Sparkle Glimmer paper along with the snow drift.  The sentiment is from Timeless Tidings and die cut with the 1-3/4″ circle punch and the red frame was die cut using the 2″ circle punch.  The background is embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Embossing folder.  I finished the card with the 3/8″ Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon and basic rhinestones.
