Hello Harvest Pumpkin Card

This week’s inspiration comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch. When I saw the circle in the sketch I new immediately I wanted to use the pumpkin from the Hello Harvest bundle and the beautiful Rustic Harvest paper.

The card base is black and used the paper with pumpkins and Crushed Curry print for my card. I stamped the pumpkin in Memento Black and colored it with light and dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends then die cut it and also the vines in Mossy Meadow. The sunflowers I also stamped in Memento Black and colored with light and dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends then die cut with sunflower die. The leaves I stamped in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede and also die cut with leaf die. The little acorn is die cut from Early Espresso and Soft Suede using the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing set. The sentiment is also from the Hello Harvest stamp set. I used Mossy Meadow linen trim and gold from the Simply Elegant Trim.

For the inside of the card I stamped a sunflower and flourish. I also used a strip of the dsp at the bottom.

Here is the sketch for Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch Challenge. Visit HSS to see more inspiration from the design team.

The color challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is with the 2022 – 2024 Stampin’ Up! In Colors. Use 3 or all 5 In-Colors. It’s up to you. I love all the colors so I decided to use all 5 and use the Nature’s Print bundle.

I started with a Basic White card base. The second layer I embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. I then stamped foliage in the different In-Colors. The sentiment I stamped in Sweet Sorbet then die cut with the circle Stitched Shapes dies I also die cut leaf foliage in Starry Night and the tag layer behind the sentiments in Orchid Oasis. I also used a bit of the Parakeet Party metallic ribbon and embellished with Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party an Tahitian Tide 2022-2024 In Color Color Matte Decorative Dots.

Forever Blossoms on Tailor Made Tag

My card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge. This sketch has a tag layer which is so fun! I created my card with colors Highland Heather, Cinnamon Cider and Pale Papaya. First I started with a Basic White card base followed by, Cinnamon Cider then DSP from the Hand-Penned collection. I die cut the largest tag from the Tailor Made Tags dies then stamped the blossoms with Highland Heather. I stamped another blossoms image on Basic White with Memento Black then colored with Highland Heather light and dark and light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Pens. I die cut branches from brushed gold foil with the Sprigs punch. I also used dies to die cut foliage from the Sunflower dies. I used metallic butterflies and colored Basic Rhinestones with Highland Heather for the center of the flowers. The ribbon is from Basketweave & Metallic ribbbon combo pack. I didn’t put a sentiments since this will be a card I can use for any occasion.

Here is the sketch I used from Hand Stamped Sentiments for my card. Let’s see what you can create with this sketch.

Hello with Sunflowers

This week my card is inspired by the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. When I saw this sketch I instantly thought of using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies. I stamped the sunflower with Cajun Craze on Bumblebee card stock then added white highlights to the petals with a white watercolor pencil. The leaves I stamped with Mossy Meadow on Old Olive card stock. The other foliage I die cut from brushed gold foil. The DSP is from the In Good Taste Design Series Paper. The white frame is die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. The card I then embellished with Brushed Metallic Adhesive dots and Fine Art Ribbon. The ‘Hello’ sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and Old Olive ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder then die cut with the Tasteful Label banner die.

Hello Spring and Welcome through my Barn Door!

Spring is right around the corner and I’m busy with spring cleaning.   My hubby is busy tidying up the garden and I’m putting away my winter dishes, hanging up my spring wreath and cleaning up my outdoor furniture.  I love it when we go to daylight savings and I can drive home from work in the daylight.  I know it sounds silly but I so enjoy this time of year.  I feel happy because the plants in our garden are blooming and the weather is getting warmer.  Hello spring!

So it seems fitting that my card is inspired by the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Here’s my card.

I embossed the So Saffron with the Simple Stripes Textured Embossing Folder.  The door, ‘hello hanging frame and flower were  stamped from the Barn Door stamp set and die cut with the Sliding Door Framelits.  The chair is die cut with the Season Layers Thinlits.  I inked up the flamingo from the Pop of Color retired stamp set with Write Markers – Basic Black and Melon Mambo.  I free cut the flower pot from Blushing Bride card stock and stamped the plant from the Flowering Desert stamp set and fussy cut it.

Hello there with a Flowering Desert!

For the past few days it’s been rainy and cold.  So to bring a bit of sunshine and lift my spirits I finally inked up my Flowering Desert stamp set.  I love this set!  There are subtleties of color in the images that make the images look like they were water-colored.  The background is stamped on vellum and I used the layering ovals to die cut the Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White ovals.  The saguaro cactus cactus, flowers and yuccas  I stamped and fussy cut.  I used dimensionals to adhere the saguaro cactus and yuccas to the Whisper White oval.

I then took the Pear Pizzazz card stock and stamped the prickly pear images with Lovely Lipstick flowers.  I did stamp off the flowers to get a lighter shade.  The sentiment was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

Just a a Note with Petals and More

I just received the Petal Palette bundle.  It’s one of those bundles you don’t realize have so many great elements until you really look at it.  This is a great bundle because you can create many different types of cards.   The greetings are perfect for thank you, wedding, graduation or just because.  The greeting I ended up using is from the Wood Words bundle then die cut with one of the dies from the Petal Palette bundle.

My card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Soft Sky, Lemon Twist and Flirty Flamingo.  I love this color combo!

The images lend themselves to being colored with markers, pencils or water-colored.  I colored the flowers and leaves on my card with a blender pen and ink pads.  The larger leaf foliage  and die cut banners were also die cut with dies from the Petal Palette bundle.

I used a die from the retired Labels Collection, stamped with retired texture stamp from Gorgeous Grunge with retired Encore gold ink, for the layer behind the flowers and foliage.  It was the perfect element to spotlight the flowers and greeting.  The Soft Sky background was embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing folder.  For added sparkle I finished the card with basic rhinestones.

Hello Foxy!

My card this week is inspired by a fox I’ve been seeing in some woods by my house and by Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  I finally played with the Foxy Friends stamp set and coordinating Fox Builder punch.  The background I embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder then colored the embossed trees with clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  The wood layer strip is from the Wood Textures DSP paper stack then layered with 1/4″ Copper Trim ribbon.

The cute fox I stamped in Cajun Craze and used the Fox Builder punch to die cut the head, body and tail.  The stump and outline banner was stamped in Early Espresso.  The ‘hello’ greeting is from the Eastern Beauty set and stamped in Old Olive and die cut with the Duet Banner punch.
