Fabulous You

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge to inspire you.  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade.  So pretty!

These colors inspired me to use the Fabulous You stamp set.  I had not used the stamp set and it was perfect for a card I had in mind.

I love the shoe image which I inked up with Versamark and Island Indigo and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to create the flowers.  For some sparkle I added the rhinestones.

Join us at Hand Stamped Sentiments and show us your color inspired project.  I can’t wait to see your creation.

The Daffodil Yellow layer I die cut with the Floral Frames Framelits then ran it through the Big Shot again and embossed it with the Honeycomb Textured Folder.  This folder you can’t buy but you can get it FREE with any $50 order.  It’s a Sale-a-Bration!  I also used a paper doily behind the Daffodil Yellow layer to better show the Daffodil Yellow layer.  The flowers and leaves were stamped and die cut with the Secret Garden

The scalloped layer was die cut first with Large Scallop Layer then embossed with Delicate Designs Textured Embossing Folder.  I hope to see what this sketch inspires you to create.

HSS Sketch Challenge #151 – Stampin’ Up! This Too Shall Pass card

The challenge for the next two weeks at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  Spark your creativity by using the sketch below.

The card I created is for a friend who is going through a tough time.  I inked up the fan embossing folder with crumb cake before embossing the Sahara Sand card stock.  For an aged look I also sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is stamped in Raspberry Ripple on Sahara Sand and die cut with the Framelits labels.  I die cut another label from Raspberry Ripple to frame the sentiment.  I die cut the edge of the Sahara Sand layer with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies and also cut a strip of Raspberry Ripple and Pink Pirouette.  The Designer Series paper is also die cut with Edgelits Dies and also sponged with crumb cake.  The final touches are Very Vanilla seam binding, Embosslits butterflies and pearls.

All dressed up and somewhere to go

I’ve been having lots of fun with the All Dressed up Bundle from the new spring mini catalog.  I was so inspired by the color challenge over at PPA.  The colors are Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray.  My card is an easel card die cut with the Floral Frames Framelits.  For added dimension I embossed the card’s background with the Fancy Fan Embossing folder.  I also used as a layer a paper doily which is also from the new spring mini catalog.  The dress is die cut with the Dress Up Framelits from the silver glimmer paper which I sponged with Melon Mambo ink.  I embellished with basic rhinestones and ribbon.  To help the sentiment pop it’s stamped in Whisper White then heat embossed with Iridescent powder.  To keep the easel card open I used one Large 8mm Basic rhinestone also featured in the new spring mini.

If you have any questions about any of the products used to create this card please email me.  Click on the email me button located on the left side of my blog.
