Be My Valentine Heart Pouch

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an inspirational challenge.  See what project is inspired by the photo below.  All sorts of heart projects popped in my head.  Here’s what I created.

I used the largest hearts framelit and cut two in Whisper White.  I stamped one of them with the distressed polka dot background.  For the front side of the pouch I wrapped Cherry Cobbler  twine.  The inner box is  triangular.  Click here for directions on how to make triangular box.  I hope this photo inspires you to join us at HSS.

HSS Sketch Challenge #151 – Stampin’ Up! This Too Shall Pass card

The challenge for the next two weeks at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  Spark your creativity by using the sketch below.

The card I created is for a friend who is going through a tough time.  I inked up the fan embossing folder with crumb cake before embossing the Sahara Sand card stock.  For an aged look I also sponged the edges with Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is stamped in Raspberry Ripple on Sahara Sand and die cut with the Framelits labels.  I die cut another label from Raspberry Ripple to frame the sentiment.  I die cut the edge of the Sahara Sand layer with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies and also cut a strip of Raspberry Ripple and Pink Pirouette.  The Designer Series paper is also die cut with Edgelits Dies and also sponged with crumb cake.  The final touches are Very Vanilla seam binding, Embosslits butterflies and pearls.

Oh Hello and Cute Pinwheel cards

Today I held a workshop to show my customers products from the spring mini.  It was so much fun and as usual there are so many wonderful products that are must-haves.  We made two make & take cards and I want to share them with you.  These two cards are inspired by cards I saw  in the Stampin’ SUCCESS.  If I did not have the exact product used to make the card I substituted with a similar one.

All dressed up and somewhere to go

I’ve been having lots of fun with the All Dressed up Bundle from the new spring mini catalog.  I was so inspired by the color challenge over at PPA.  The colors are Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray.  My card is an easel card die cut with the Floral Frames Framelits.  For added dimension I embossed the card’s background with the Fancy Fan Embossing folder.  I also used as a layer a paper doily which is also from the new spring mini catalog.  The dress is die cut with the Dress Up Framelits from the silver glimmer paper which I sponged with Melon Mambo ink.  I embellished with basic rhinestones and ribbon.  To help the sentiment pop it’s stamped in Whisper White then heat embossed with Iridescent powder.  To keep the easel card open I used one Large 8mm Basic rhinestone also featured in the new spring mini.

All Dressed up For You

Guess what?  Today is a really big day!  It’s the launch of the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog.  Click on the link located on the right side of my blog to view.  The catalog widget will appear at midnight CST.

I have also included a card featuring the All Dressed up Bundle.  See page 32 of the Spring Catalog.  This bundle is a must-have.  I used many items from the new catalog.  Do you see those luscious huge rhinestones?  They’re new!  A new 8mm rhinestone is now available (page 8).  Another new item is the paper doily (page 5).  The dress and stand is die cut using the Dress Up Framelits.  So cute!!   In case you’re wondering about the layout, it’s based on the sketch for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.

Hearts a Flutter Valentine’s card

I’ve had a nice break from blogging and enjoyed Christmas with my family.  However I’ve been so excited to play with my new stash from the Stampin’ Up! Spring mini catalog 2013.  This week’s challenge on Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color splash challenge of Primrose Petals, Pool Party and Basic Black.  This project is based on a photo frame project in the spring catalog.  Here’s my project giving you a sneak peek of the Hearts a Flutter Bundle.  It contains the hearts a Flutter stamp set and framelits.  It’s perfect for making a variety of cards.

Swallowtail butterfly card Sneak Peek

This week I am excited to share with you a sneak peek of a beautiful stamp from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2013 Spring Catalog.  This stamp is so detailed and the size is fabulous!  It measures approximately 5.50″ wide x 4.25″ high.  The challenge this week on Hand Stamped Sentiments is the -baby wipe technique.  This technique allows you to add many different ink colors to an image.  You can find a tutorial here on SCS.

I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo ink.  I cut out the butterfly with paper snips then sprayed it with Vanilla Smooch Spritz.   The Rich Razzleberry layer was textured with Backgrounds 1 Stampin’ Up! Texturz Plates polka dots.  I also embellished with basic rhinestones.

The sentiment is embossed with Iridescent Embossing Powder over the Melon Mambo.

A little thank you

This week’s challenge is a theme challenge – Thank You!  I like making 3″ x 3″ thank you cards for my customers to include in their orders.  I created this thank you card with the Lovely Little Labels stamp set and coordinating punches.  So much fun and combinations!  Love it!

I embossed the Summer Starfruit layer with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder then stamped the images and punched them out using the Little Labels punch pack.  I used Dazzling Details on the Summer Starfruit Layer and embellished with a bit of bling.

Monochromatic Rocking Gingerbread Christmas Card

This week we have a monochromatic challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  My card was also inspired by the cute gingerbread in the Scentsational Season Bundle.  He’s so cute!  My card is also a rocking card which is so much fun to decorate.  Click here for a tutorial on how to make this card.

I cut a Soft Suede 5″ circle and a 4-1/2″ Very Vanilla  circle with my retired Stampin’ Up! Circle Scissor Plus.  I embossed the Very Vanilla circle with the Perfect Polka Dot folder then folded them in half and glued them together.
