Easter Egg Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge with the colors of Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry and any neutral.  With Easter around the corner I created this Easter egg card.  I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to create the different layers.  The scalloped layer is embossed with the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder.  The images are from the Everybunny stamp set and water colored using an aqua pen and ink pads.  The images are framed with flowers die cut with the  Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack and embellished with rhinestones.

I hope these colors inspire you to join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Easter Egg Wreath Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge.  I’m still in Easter card mode so I created this Easter Wreath card.  The eggs are die cut with the Extra Large Oval punch and the images are from the Everybunny stamp set and colored with a blender pen and ink pads.  The solid color eggs are textured with embossing folders and decorated with butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.  I also die cut the flowers with Trio and Boho punches.

Everybunny Easter Watercolor Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a watercolor technique challenge.  With Easter a few weeks awayI used the Everybunny stamp set to create this card.  I used blender pens and stamp pads to color the bunny image.  I stamped it with black StayzOn then colored away.  I used a bright color combination of Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo and Concord Grape.  I apologize for the photo.  My camera is still out for repair and had to take the photo with my iPhone.  The colors don’t show up true.

Everybunny Easter Treat

I’m so excited that spring is almost here!  In anticipation  I created this adorable pillow box and card  for Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  A perfect treat to put in an Easter basket or to give just as is.  The challenge this week is a color challenge.  Create any paper crafting project with the colors of Real Red, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight.

I used the new Easter stamp set, Everybunny, featured in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  This set has so many cute stamps perfect for Easter.  I made the box using the Pillow Box die.  I stamped the hot air balloon image on Crumb Cake with Soft Suede and Versamark then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I used a blender pen to add color to the bunny and the balloon.  I then cut out the image and for a finishing touch I used Dazzling Details on the balloon.  I punched the flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack then embellished with rhinestones.  I stamped the sentiment on Daffodil Delight and tied hemp twine around the box.  The 3″ x 3″ card was so easy to make.  I embossed the Daffodil Delight layer with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The chick image I stamped then clear embossed and punched with the 1-3/8″ circle.  The flower layer is punched with the Fancy Flower punch.

Hand Stamped Sentiments week 4 – Sketch Challenge

This week at HSS we’re having a sketch challenge.  This sketch is featured in the March Success, Stampin’ Up!’s magazine for demonstrators.  This magazine is one of the freebies you receive as a demonstrator which is a big plus because many projects are featured to give you ideas and it also provides tips on running your business from successful demonstrators.  Right now is a great time to become a demonstrator because the starter kit is discounted 15%.  See my blog entry Sale-a-bration for hobby stampers for more details.   Now on to the project.  As I mentioned we’re having a sketch challenge and I have been wanting to use my new stamp set Picnic Parade.  This stamp set is a hostess level 2 set and can only be earned by holding a workshop with sales of at least $300.  It’s a great value because it contains 15 stamps!  So versatile.  It can be used for so many occasions – Easter, Thank you, Get well, Hello, Welcome…  I had so much fun putting my project together.

First, I stamped the images on Whisper White card stock in Timber Brown StayzOn ink.  I used my SU water color pencils and blender pen to color in the images.  I wanted a soft spring look and the water color pencils provided just the look I was after.

I then used my paper snips to cut out the bunny and the basket.  I used the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch to punch the flower then sponged the edges with Pretty in Pink classic ink.  I also had a scrap from the Bashful Blue soft flower background I printed using My Digital Studio for my Pride and Prejudice card and used this for the center of my extra large Fancy Flower.

Before adhereing the top and bottom of my card to the base I adhered the top and bottom then placed my ribbon before adhering to the base.  I used SNAIL to adhere the large flower on the main image then adhered the bunny and the basket with dimensionals.  The bottom of the card is the  striped DSP from the Sale-a-bration Welcome Neighbor Paper Pad for the bottom of the card.  Stamped my sentiment in Timber Brown StayzOn ink so the browns would match.

That’s it.  Super easy and lots of fun!  I hope you’re inspired to start your spring projects.
