A Howl-o-ween Treat Easel Card

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is a sketch challenge.  The sketch inspired me to create a Halloween easel card with the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set.  I used the colors of Wild Wasabi, Tangelo Twist, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black.

I used one of those spectacular Spider Web Doilies behind the owl.  The card was easy to create with the stamp set and the Boo to You framelits.

Say Thanks with Vintage Leaves

This week on Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge of Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Pool Party.   For my project I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set with coordinating framelits.   I stamped the leaves in Tangerine Tango on Very Vanilla card stock.  I sponged Daffodil Delight and Pool Party on the leaves.  The background I embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The sentiment was die cut from gold foil paper with the Hello You Thinlit dies.  Creating this card was easy!

BOO to you and a Howl-o-ween Treat

I received my pre-order stash from Stampin’ Up! and part of my order included the Howl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set + Boo to You Framelits Dies bundle.  Super cute images and the framelits makes it easy to die-cut them.  These cute images inspired me to make a side drawer card.  This type of card  CASE’d from Jackie Topa.  For instructions and a video click here.  I have previously made a couple of Halloween cards of this type and can be found here and here.

My side step drawer card features a skeleton and spider coming out of spooky drawers and an owl with a witch’s hat saying BOO!  I also used for embellishment the Spider Web Doilies.  I love them.  One side is black and the other is white.  I used the white side so it would contrast against the black.  I stamped the owl with silver ink.  I cut the drawers and the panel behind the owl from the new Black Glimmer paper.  I also used the Decorative Label punch on the to create the legs of the dresser.  I had so much fun creating this card!

All these products may be found in the new 2015 Holiday Catalog.

Awesomely Artistic and a Work of Art

My inspiration for my card this week comes from this week’s HSS Inspiration Challenge and from page 118 of the Stampin’ Up’s! Catalog and Idea book.  I love I can peruse through the catalog and see something different every time!  I used the NEW In-Color Mint Macaron with touches of gold and Bermuda Bay sequins, with black.   The photos of the lake and water made me think of the dragonflies I see in may backyard.

I love the Work of Art Stamp and Gorgeous  Grunge stamp sets because you can create swashes or splatters of color that look like you water colored or painted on ink.   These I used for the background then stamped the dragonfly from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set and heat embossed with gold as well as the ‘you’ in the sentiment.  To make the rest of the sentiment stand out I used some Washi tape.

Many Thanks with a Beautiful Bunch

Inspiration for this week’s challenge comes from the current Stampin Up! Catalog and Idea book from page 92.  I just love the Tangerine Tango with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon!  I used the Brick Wall embossing folder for the background lightly sponged with Pool Party for a little bit of color.  I created a tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  The flower was stamped tone on tone with Tangerine Tango.  I stamped it twice and die cut with the Fun Flower Punch and die cut the center with the 7/8″ Scalloped Punch. The sequins are retired Coastal Cabana but close enough to Pool Party.  The leaves are silver glitter paper.

Tap, Tap, Tap, Just a Note to say Hi

This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge and was inspired to create a card with the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set.  To add a bit of vintage flavor I heat embossed the typewriter and the sentiment with gold then fussy cut them.  I used the Typeset Specialty Designer paper for the background layer to the elements.  I always enjoy creating with this stamp set.

Watercolor Wings and Bold Butterflies

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.  I just received the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer bundle and was inspired by this color challenge to create beautiful butterflies.  This stamp set makes it so easy to create beautiful watercolor butterflies.

I used a Whisper White card base to feature the butterflies.  I used the three colors to create each butterfly.  One butterfly is stamped at full strength and for the other I stamped off for a light er color.  For sparkle, I added gold foil butterflies die cut with the Bold Buttefly Framelits and Bermuda Bay sequins.  The sentiment is from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  The spots on the background are stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Birthday Basics -Celebrate with Fringe

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an Inspiration challenge.  The photo is filled with so many great images just in time for celebrating the Fourth of July.

The card I created is for dear friend celebrating her birthday this month.  I wanted to make it festive and fun and what better way than with fringe.  I created the fringe strips with Stampin’ Up’s! fringe scissors.  I cut 2 inch strips in Watermelon Wonder, Very Vanilla and Island Indigo.  The ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting is stamped with Versamark and Watermelon Wonder and for sparkle I heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice.  To see the sparkle click on the image to magnify.  The butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri set and embellished with basic rhinestones colored with Sharpies.  I tied Metallic Baker’s Twine and stamped the flower in Island Indigo from retired Beautiful Bunch stamp set and embellished with 2015-2017 Watermelon Wonder In Color Blossom accent.

Flower Patch Awesomeness

The next challenge for Hand Stamped Sentiments is a very fun sketch challenge.  I used the Flower Patch bundle to create this card.  Using this set to stamp the flowers then die cutting them with the coordinating framelits was so quick and easy.  Lately I’ve been so in love with using Crumb Cake or Kraft card bases then using a pop of color with images and elements.  I stamped the greeting in Versamark then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  Do you want to know how I got those perfect notches on my banner?  I used the Banner Triple punch.  The Banner Triple Punch gives you triple the banner options in one punch. You can make banners in three widths–1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″–in any length. Just slide the paper in, punch, and get perfectly notched banners (or gift tags, bookmarks, belly bands) every time.  You’re going to love this punch!  The little butterfly was stamped in Cajun Craze with a butterfly from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set.  I then lightly used an Aqua pen to bring in a bit of color to the wings with Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight.

Punch it up with Stampin’ Up!’s Envelope Punch Board

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color splash challenge with the colors of Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow.  Inspiration for my card came from the 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up! catalog.  The card is featured on page 130 of the catalog.

I punched up this card with the help of the Envelope punch board and die cut with the Elegant Butterfly Punch then stamped with the Flowering Flourishes.  The flower on the card base was stamped withe flower from Butterfly Basics then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The notches on the side of the card were created with the Envelope punch board.  I then embossed the card with the Wood Grain Textured embossing folder and embellished the card with the Bermuda Bay sequin trim and Linen Thread and a Rhinestone.
