Have a Wonderfully Wicked Halloween

I love making Halloween cards!  Especially with the new Wonderfully Wicked Bundle.  The card I created was also inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration challenge.  The photo is filled with inspiration for a fall or Halloween card.  I die cut the moon from watercolor paper with the 2 inch circle punch then sponged with Saffron Yellow.  I then stamped the bats from the Wonderfully Wicked stamp set. The ‘Wicked’ die cut and spiders was cut using the Wicked dies from retired Black Glimmer paper then the ‘Wicked’shadowed with an orange die cut.  The foliage layer is from the Come Sail Away DSP.  Love this paper. The foliage images look like vintage upholstery fabric.  I then layered with Basic Black and Pumpkin Orange card stock.  The greetings ‘Have a’ and ‘good time!’ are also from this stamp set.

Here is the inspiration image and more can be found at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

Open if you Dare the Graveyard Gate

OOOH! OOOH! SPOOKY is what I was going for with the card I created with the Graveyard Gate bundle.  Inspiration for my card came from the Inspiration Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I sponged Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry for the sky then sponged Smoky Slate on the bottom to create the graveyard.  I then stamped the headstones and bats in Momento Black.  I used an adhesive sheet to die cut the gate so I could easily adhere the gate to the front of the card.

For the sentiment I die cut a circle with the 1-3/8″ punch and sponged it with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie then stamped the sentiment with Momento Black.  For extra sparkle I colored around the sentiment with Clear Wink of Stella.  The lock and key I die cut from silver foil.  Now… try to open the graveyard gate if you dare.

A Howl-o-ween Treat Easel Card

This week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge is a sketch challenge.  The sketch inspired me to create a Halloween easel card with the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set.  I used the colors of Wild Wasabi, Tangelo Twist, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black.

I used one of those spectacular Spider Web Doilies behind the owl.  The card was easy to create with the stamp set and the Boo to You framelits.

Happy Haunting Halloween Card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge with the colors of Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Black.  These colors were perfect for a Halloween card.  I used the ghost from the Fall Fest stamp set and greeting from the Ghoulish Greetings stamp set.  For texture I used the Woodgrain Embossing folder and embellished with rhinestones.

I adhered the Blackberry Bliss and Pear Pizzaazz layers then punched the circles through both layers.  I stamped the ghosts with Versamark on the black layer and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The sentiment is also stamped in Versamrk and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  Super easy card to make!

Another Halloween Toxic Treat Card

This week on HSS we have a technique challenge – Crayon Rubbed Embossing!  I had never done this technique before and decided to use a black crayon instead of white to create an eerie spooky background…kind of grungy and kind of vintage.  I love this technique!  I used sponge daubers to sponge Raspberry Ripple, Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade to create an eerie background for my black embossed witch.

If the Shoe Fits…Wear it for Halloween

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is Halloween!  I love this holiday and this year Stampin’ Up! has some very fun and spooky stamp sets.  Check them out in the holiday mini.

Since I love shaped cards I made a template of a witch’s boot.  I based it on the boot in the Spooky Bingo Bits  stamp set.  See card recipe below for template. I cut the boot out then embossed it with the Spider Web Embossing Folder then Smooched it.  I laced it up with Lucky Limeade ribbon and embellished with a fan fold.  I then  stamped the head of the witch in the Howl-O-Ween Creeps set on watercolor paper, with a blender pen I colored it with Pumpkin Pie and Lucky Limeade classic ink then used the Dazzling Details to add some sparkle.  Finished off the boot with Black Satin ribbon, taffeta orange ribbon and Rich Razzleberry button.
