Adorable Owls and Dainty Flowers

I have just now gotten a chance to play with my new Sale-a-bration products – Adorable Owls stamp set and Dainty Flowers DSP. Both these products are a FREE during Sale-a-bration which ends February 28, 2023. You earn one FREE item with $50 purchase. I was inspired to create this card with the sketch challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I used the beautiful watercolor design of the Dainty Flowers DSP for the background and used the flying owl image. I colored the owl with Mossy Meadow light and dark and Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends.

I stamped the owl image on Basic White with Memento Black ink. The stitched circle is from retired dies Stitched Shapes Framelits which you can substitute the Stylish Shapes Dies or the Layering Circles with no stitch both these die sets currently in the annual catalog. The Fresh Freesia outer circle was die cut with Layering Circles. I embellished with Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon and the Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots. The owl images in this Adorable Owls stamp set are so cute and fun to color.

In the Wild Birthday

I love cats! Big wild cats down to domestic cats I love them. So when I saw the Stampin’ Up! In the Wild Suite I just had to get it. My card this week is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge and the In the Wild Suite. I used tear and tape on the edges of the card then used gilded leafing. The leaves on the left were die cut with the coordinating dies from gold foil. The cat and leaves were also die cut with the coordinating dies. The face of the cat and the sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold. I used the coordinating DSP to die cut the circle from retired Layering Circles. The Evening Evergreen layer was embossed with the Animal Print embossing folder. The inside of the card is also stamped with leaf images from the In the Wild Suite. Love this suite!

A Pumpkin Harvest Hello Birthday

I was finally able to create with the Harvest Hello stamp set and was inspired to create my card from the fall colors of Pier1 and the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I love the Harvest Hello stamp set because the pumpkin shape can also be an apple.  I created my card using the colors of Pretty Peacock and Pool Party with accents of gold.

I embossed the Whisper White  layer with the Woodlands Embossing folder.   Before I embossed the paper I inked the embossing folder with Early Espresso then ran it through.  I also used clear Wink of Stella to color over the Early Espresso.  The Pool Party layer I stamped with the leaf from the Colorful Seasons stamp set with gold Delicata ink and also die cut the leaf from Gold Glimmer paper using the Seasonal Layer dies.  I die cut using the Leaf punch and the die from the Tropical dies. I also die cut a leaf from Pretty Peacock foil using the  leaf die from the Flourish de set.  I used Whisper White for the pumpkins.  One I stamped with the gold Delicata ink and the other with Pizzazz.  The curly cues I did by wrapping around my pick.

A Motorcycle Birthday!

For this week we have a fun sketch challenge.  Pressed for time because of the holidays I created this card with My Digital Studio.  I love the Mocha Morning Designer Series digital paper.  The Crumb Cake and Early Espresso colors make this a very masculine card

Haunted House Happy Birthday Halloween Card

This week’s color challenge of Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo and Early Espresso at Hand Stamped Sentiments inspired me to make this birthday card for my father.  His birthday is on Halloween so every year I make card for him.  My card is based on the gate fold card.  I marked 1″ on the top and on the side then cut the top at an angle for the roof.  I used the Large Scallop Edgelits Die for the shingles and sponged around the edges of the card with Early Espresso to add some spooky shadowing.

To add dimension to the bat, booo, and sentiment I embossed them.

A Happy Birthday Haunted House!

How time flies!  My dad is celebrating his 75th birthday today, October 31st.  I created this haunted house birthday card complete with ghosts and bats.  The card is based on the gate fold card.  I cut the top of the card to look like roofs and shingled them using my Scallop border punch.  I used the 1-1/4 inch Square Punch for the window and added the strips for window panes.  The shingles I created with Basic Black and layered with a smaller piece of Whisper White and drew the shutters with a black marker.  It was a lot of fun creating this card.

For the inside of the card I decorated it with a ghost, spider webs and a lollie.  I used My Digital Studio to create the sentiment then punched it out with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.

Happy Birthday Cake Slice Box

Yesterday was my hubby’s birthday and I made him a cake slice box.  I put photos of  me and our fur babies inside the box wishing him a happy birthday.  The challenge was in trying to decorate the box in a masculine way.  I was inspired by The Paper Players Color Challenge – Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso.  These colors are so rich together and masculine.  I am also submitting my cake slice to Piece ‘O Cake Paper Craft Planet 3D challenge.

I made my cake box from Early Espresso  card stock then covered with DSP printed from My Digital Studio – Cherry Cobbler polka dot and Not Quite Navy Villa DSP.   I trimmed a 1-1/4″ strip of Early Espresso with the Eyelet Border punch and adhered to the lid.  I also used the retired Take a Spin stamp set , Striped Early Espresso ribbon and Birthday Banner to decorate the top.  I couldn’t resist and added clear rhinestones to the banner and the sides of the box.  I also used an Antique brad for the back.

I also used My Digital Studio to print the photos and then used the 2-3/8 inch circle punch.  I attached the photos with mini glue dots to 1/4″ Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  I adhered each end with mini glue dots.
