Home Sweet Home Haunted House

To celebrate Halloween  I created this little haunted house with the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Home Bundle.  The bundle consists of the Sweet Home stamp set and Home Sweet Home Thinlits Dies.  I love you can make treat boxes or cards.

I created this little haunted house treat box with the bundle.  These are so much fun to make and the theme and color possibilities are endless.  These are a bit tricky at first but Stampin’ Up! has a video on how to cut and assemble.  Click here for the video.

Jar of Haunts Happy Halloween

I love Halloween!  Growing up my family every year we a had Halloween party to celebrate my father’s birthday.  My father passed away last year but I still make a card for him in his memory.  My card this week is based on the sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments and the Great Pumpkin from Charlie Brown.

I  created my own background paper by stamping the eyes with Versamark then heat embossing with white and iridescent embossing powders.  The iridescent embossing powder is retired but I still have some and I use it when I want to add a little sparkle.

The cute jack-0-lantern is stamped with Tangerine Tango on Pumpkin Pie from the Jar of Haunts stamp set which can be ordered from the 2016 Holiday catalog.  The leaf and stalk I stamped with Early Espresso, fussy cut and outlined the leaf and veins with Early Espresso and colored with  Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie.

The jar is stamped on White Shimmer with black ink then die cut using the jar framelit from the Everyday Jars Framelits set.  I adhered the Silver Satin Ribbon then adhered the jar.  The banners Silver and Black Glimmer paper die cut using the Banner Triple punch.  For an extra punch of bling I used basic rhinestones on the eyes and all over the black layer.

Christmas Pines are Pretty Pines

This week my card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of  Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.  I used the new stamp set Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Thinlits dies bundle along with the Pine Bough Textured Embossing Folder.  I love the pine bough thinlets.  There are three different sizes which create such pretty foliage.  I also used the bow dies to create the Real Red and Bermuda Bay bows.  The Pine Bough textured embossing folder created a beautiful background on the Natural Ivory card stock.  After stamping the sentiment I used the 2-1/2″ circle punch to die cut it.   I love this bundle.  There are so many possibilities!

Vintagle Leaves Sympathy card

My card this week is inspired by the sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I used the sketch portrait style instead of landscape to create my card.  I’m looking forward to fall and the beautiful colors of the leaves so I  used the Vintage leaves stamp set and framelits.  I made the leaves using Christi Becks video for how to color the leaves and the Acorn Builder Punch for the acorn. I embossed a Very Vanilla layer with the Woodland Textured Embossing folder for a background for the leaves.  I love how my card turned out.

Thank you with Botanical Blooms

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim.  These are the new In Colors from Stampin’ Up!

I recently had a birthday and and needed to send a thank you card to my friend.  I created this card with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the sentiment is from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set. The layer with the die cut leaf edge I first applied ink to the uncut layer with a brayer.  I inked it up then rolled it off a few times before rolling onto the layer because I wanted a lighter shade of the Dapper Denim to provide contrast to the flowers.  After drying I die cut the leaf edge then adhered to a layer of Dapper Denim.

I used the Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White card stock to created the flowers. The leaves are Dapper Denim.  The Whisper White was a bit stark so I used the dotted stamp from the Timeless Textures set.  I stamped some of the ink off before stamping on some of the dots so the color is of different intensity.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark first then Dapper Denim and heat embossed with retired Iridescent embossing powder to make it sparkle.

I hope my card inspires you to play with these colors!

A Little Kindness Goes A Long Way

Inspiration for my card this week comes from Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.  Although, the color Blackberry Bliss is retired you’re welcome to use a color similar like Elegant Eggplant.  I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set to stamp all the background elements.  I also used the Bitty Butterfly punch to die cut the butterfly.  For sparkle I added basic rhinestones, gold sequins and used Gold Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush on the sunburst, butterfly and Crushed Curry dots.

A Pop of Pink

Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge this week inspired my card.  I used the Pop of Pink stamp set which I had not had an opportunity to use.  I also used the Pop of Color DSP and washi tape to create this card.  I love the Melon Mambo, Basic Black  with the Emerald Envy colors.  To coordinate with the DSP I used gold sequins and embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.  I love these colors together they make me happy.

The flamingo and leaves were fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals.  This was a fun card to make.

A Warm Pineapple Hello!

My card this week is inspired by the color challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Dapper Denim at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  My new pineapple stamp had not been inked and these colors inspired me to use it.  I like the stamp because its large size is perfect for stamping on card fronts.

A Botanical Bloom Thank You

My card this week is inspired by this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  I love the Botanical Blooms stamp set and framelits because it’s so easy to create beautiful blooms with foliage.  I also used the Rose Garden Thinlits for foliage.   The Bermuda Bay banner is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and creates contrast behind the foliage and flowers.  To create texture I used a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge for the spotted  background and gold sequins.
