Gorgeous Leaves Thank You Card

I’m so in love with the Gorgeous Leaves bundle. The stamp set and coordinating dies are so easy to use and you can create many different types of cards from collage cards to simple one layer cards.

My card was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Misty Moonlight, Rich Razzleberry, Smokey Slate and CASED from Amy Koenders Gorgeous Leaves card.

I started with a Basic White card base then stamped the leaves with Misty Moonlight, Rich Razzleberry and Smoke Slate. After stamping the leaves I embossed the background with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. The sentiment from Hand Penned Petal stamp set I stamped with Versamark on a die cut label from the Tasteful Label dies then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The large Misty Moonlight leaf, Silver foil small leaf an Rich Razzleberry twig I die cut using the Intricate Leaves dies, embellished with silver twine from the Simply Elegant trim basic rhinestones colored with Rich Razzleberry, Smokey Slate and Misty Moonlight Stampin Blends.

Feels Like Home Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set

My card this week is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge of Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Cinnamon Cider. I used the Feels like Home stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. It’s a free stamp set you can earn for free with every $50.

I used a Blender Pen with Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Cinnamon Cider ink pads. I also framed the image with Cinnamon Cider card stock and embellished with Petal Pink 5/8″ Organdy Striped Ribbon. I also used the retired Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing folder.

Pretty Pumpkins

This week I’m playing with a new stamp set and die , Pretty Pumpkins, from the mini catalog. I love this set because of the pumpkin images and dies. I used the Hand Stamped Sentiment colors of Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive and Rich Razzlebery. The Pretty Pumpkins bundle will be available on August 3 from Stampin’ U

The image shows a fall card created with Stampin Up Pretty Pumpkins fall card featuring Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Cinnamon. The sentiment reads If Friendship were pumpkins I'd pick you.

I used a Very Vanilla card base with Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive card stock layer and Harvest Meadow DSP. I die cut the filigree pumpkin from Gold foil. The other pumpkins I stamped in Cinnamon Cider then colored with Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. I didn’t have the Cinnamon Cider blender pens so I used the Cajun Craze. I also used the Very Versailles text stamp set to add texture to the Old Olive layer. To embellish I used Linen Thread, 3/8″ Fine Art Ribbon and Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots.  My card was also CASEd by Mary at Stamps-n-lingers.

Garden Wishes Sympathy Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments they have a color challenge of Calypso Coral, Bumblebee and Just Jade.  I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend and decided to use the colors in the challenge and use a technique I had not used in awhile.  I created the watercolor background by coloring an acrylic block with Bumblebee and Just Jade markers then spritzing the block with water and stamping it onto Shimmery White card stock.  I then dried the ink with my heat tool.  I then stamped the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp set and sentiment with Stazon Jet Black.  The sentiment is from the retired Thoughts an Prayers stamp set.  I then colored the center of the flowers with a Calypso Coral marker then die cut the dragonflies with the Dragonflies punch.  Love this punch because you can punch a large and small dragonfly.  The larger dragonfly coordinates with stamps from the stamp set.  The smaller one is meant to be used as a silhouette.  I die cut the small dragonflies from Bumblebee then colored with Wink of Stella.  It’s difficult to see the Shimmer on the Shimmer White paper and the dragonflies in the photo.  I also added rhinestones for extra shine.

You’re Absolutely Amazing

The card I created this week is CASED from a card featured on page 98 of the new Annual Catalog using the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge colors of – Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Bumblebee.  Not only does the Annual Catalog feature wonderful products but also a variety of projects showing how the stamps, dies and embellishments may be used.  

For the background I embossed a Whisper White layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder then sponged Bumblebee ink.  I also die cut two strips of Whisper White with the scallop die.  I stamped the outline of the flower full strength then stamped stamped off for stamping the inside of the flower.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set and stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut with coordinating die. 

The leaves I stamped  in Momento black then die cut them with the die.  The one leaf on the left is stamped then fussy cut.  For embellishments I used the Gold Gilded Gems and Gold Fine Art ribbon.

My card this week is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration challenge. Such beautiful colors and images. I have to say this Cottage Rose stamp sets is one I have not used. I used the colors off Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green to create my card.

Thank You with an Amazing Iris

Spring has sprung!  l am so glad it’s finally here and a welcome change.  My card this week is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Highland Heather and the stamp set ‘Inspiring Iris’.  I embossed the background layer with the Pine Wood Planks 3D embossing folder.  The iris stamp set is a two step set.  I stamped the iris and leaves in Momento black then stamped the foliage with Pear Pizzazz and the iris in Highland Heather.  I then die cut the oval with the Stitched Shapes Dies wrapped white baker’s twine then adhered the oval with dimensionals.  The sentiment I stamped with Momento black on So Saffron.  I’m sending theis card to a friend so I had to stamp the envelope with the irises.

Super easy card and love the two step stamping.

A Poinsettia Place Christmas

I have to finish up my Christmas cards and the mad dash is on to send them out this weekend.  One of the cards I created is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Misty Moonlight.

I created this card using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle.  Love this bundle.  The bundle includes dies that also emboss.  I die cut the poinsettias from Whisper White, embossed and sponged the petals with Cherry Cobbler.  The centers are beaded pearls which is part of the suite.  I also stamped the leaves an berries on Whisper White and  die cut using the bundle.  I used the Misty Moonlight ribbon behind the poinsettia.  The silver sprigs I die cut with the Sprig punch out silver foil.  The card base is Misty Moonlight and the Old Olive layer is DSP from the Poinsettia Place DSP, the White Vellum paper is the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.  The paper is flocked and so pretty.  The sentiment from the Poinsettia Place stamp set I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Gather Together Fall card

Fall is finally here!  The weather is cool Halloween is around the corner and Thanksgiving will be here before you know it.  Which along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge inspired my card.  The challenge colors are Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee and Night of Navy.  I stamped two 1 inch strips of Night of Navy with images from the Gather Together stamp set then heat embossed with gold.  These I adhered to the Blackberry Bliss card base.  I stamped the Very Vanilla layer then adhered between the Night of Navy strips.  The large leaf images I stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with gold then die cut them.  The smaller leafs I die cut then stacked the flowers.  These I stacked on the left then added sprigs die cut with the Sprig punch.  I finished the card with a linen thread bow and clear rhinestones.

Merry Christmas with a Flight of Fancy

I was so excited to create with the Flight of Fancy of stamp set from the Stampin’ Up current holiday mini catalog.  It features images for three different holidays – Christmas, Halloween and Valentines.  I’m so loving these super cute images of an angel, witch and cherub.  I created this Christmas card with color inspiration of Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake, from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I used Whisper White for the card base then used Crumb Cake embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  The Mint Macaron I die cut using the second to largest rectangle die.  I stamped the angel image with Momento Black on Whisper White then die cut using the second to largest of the Stitched Nested Labels die.  I colored the image with SU blender pens with Mint Macaron, Cinnamon Cider and Crumb Cake ink pads.  After letting the image dry I used a small brush to paint with Champagne Mist ink on the hair, tunic, snowflakes and roofs to add shimmer.  I stamped the greeting with Cinnamon Cider and Versamark then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I like how it made the color a bit metallic.  The Mint Macaron ribbon is from the holiday mini catalog, Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon combo pack and used the 1/4″ Cinnamon Cider twill ribbon.  For extra sparkle I added basic rhinestones.

Celebrate Sunflowers, Celebrate a Birthday

I recently received the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and was so excited to create with it.  I used the color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments of Coastal Cabana, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee to create this sunflower birthday card.  Love these colors!  Magenta Madness and Bumblebee are two of the In Colors just released this year along with Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight.

Stampin up Celebrate Sunflowers Birthday card

I stamped the Magenta Madness layer with the Buffalo Check background stamp and Magenta Madness ink.  The sunflower is die cut from Bumblebee and the die cut layer of the sunflower is die cut from gold foil.  The leaves and foliage are also die cut from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle set.  The scalloped Whisper White layer is die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  The birthday sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and die cut using a label die from the Painted Labels dies set.  I also used basic rhinestones to embellish
