Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge 12

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge that comes to us from Stampin’ Up!’s May issue of Success magazine for demonstrators.  This magazine is packed with ideas and tips for running your SU business and did I mention it’s free.  The colors featured on the sketch are new colors Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla.  I love the color combination.  I haven’t received my sample of new colors so I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla to create my card.  Post your creation at HSS.

Hand Stamped Sentiments – Color Splash Challenge

It’s a color splash challenge.  Basic Black, Real Red and So Saffron are the bold colors we’re playing with this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I decided for my project this week I would use the Stars #2 Original Die , glitter and My Digital Studio to create a graduation card.  I created the Basic Black grid background and the Real Red grid background with ‘CONGRATS’ on My Digital Studio.  I used the Big Shot and the star die to cut the stars then glittered the Basic Black stars and layered them with the Real Red and So Saffron stars.  A quick and easy card with some bling!  I invite you to post your creation.

Good things come in small packages

I have been having fun making these cute gift boxes with stamp sets Tiny Tags, Vintage Vogue and Chocolate Bunny.  I also used the Build a Flower and  Pillow Box dies for the Big Shot.  These cute boxes are perfect for small gifts like candy treats or for jewelry like SU’s Simply Adorned bracelets, necklaces and charms.

Bunny Box

Click here for bunny box template.  I printed the template on Very Vanilla CS then cut it out.  I decorated the front and the sides of the box with following.

Chocolate Bunny and flowers from Vintage Vogue – I stamped the Chocolate Bunny with Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla CS then cut him out.  I stamped the Vintage Vogue flowers with So Saffron and Pretty Pink on Very Vanilla CS then cut them out.

The small flowers on the green branch were punched using the Trio Flower punch and the branch with leaves was stamped using the Two-Step Bird Punch.  The Pretty in Pink egg was punched using the Wide Oval punch then decorated with the flowers and the Whisper White grosgrain ribbon which was dyed with So Saffron ink.

The small flowers on the vine that are on the side of the box were stamped using Regal Rose and Old Olive markers.  The stamp is from Tiny Tags.

Half pearls from the Pretties kit were adhered to the center of the flowers.

The small tags were stamped with stamps from Tiny Tags on Very Vanilla CS then punched using the Medium Jewelry Tag punch.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge – Pride and Prejudice

This week over at HSS we are starting things off with an Inspiration Challenge from the Jane Austen book Pride and Prejudice. It’s sure to spark many ideas with so many themes throughout the book, (honesty, love, marriage, family), you will have no problem coming up with your creation.  Since Pride and Prejudice focuses on young ladies in search of husbands I chose to make a card for a bride-to-be.  Because I am big into fashion I tend to think about costumes of the period and the first thing I thought of were those wonderful dresses.  Very frilly and feminine with lace, organza and satin.    For my project I chose Whisper White to represent the upcoming wedding and Bashful Blue for luck.  I used the Final Press textured impressions embossing folder to create the white background then applied Bashful Blue SU pastel.  I love how it gives a hint of color.  I used My Digital studio to print the Soft Flower Bashful Blue background on Whisper White and made my own dress template and accessorized it with very feminine embellishments.  I had so much fun creating this card!  I can’t wait to see your creations.
