‘Tis The Season with Christmas Pretty Pines

This week’s card is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Elegant Eggplant, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz.  I used the Christmas Pines Bundle to create this Christmas card in these unconventional colors.

The card base is Very Vanilla, followed by the gold foil layer.  The Elegant Eggplant layer I stamped with the star background with Encore Gold ink.  The pine leaves were die cut with the thinlit dies and adhered behind the sentiment layer which I heat embossed with gold then  fussy cut and embellished with basic pearls.

Snowflakes make a Festive Flurry

The next Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge is a sketch challenge.  I loved how this sketch challenged me think outside my comfort zone.  I used the Festive Flurry Bundle and the Northern Flurry Textured Embossing folder to create the card below.  I stamped the snowflake with Versamark and Indigo Blue on Vellum card stock then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for shimmer and die cut it.  The snowflake is adhered to another layer of Vellum I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

To add extra sparkle to the background I used Silver Dazzling Details on the embossed snowflakes.

Merry and Bright Ornament Card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an inspiration challenge.  Using the Ornament framelits and coordinating stamp set brought my card together so fast.  Love it!  To make the ornaments sparkly I embossed them with Iridescent Ice and embellished with rhinestones.  The colors I used for my ornaments are from this year’s In-Colors – Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit.  I know they don’t sound like Christmas colors but I think they’re wonderfully bright and perfect for Christmas.
