Flower Patch Awesomeness

The next challenge for Hand Stamped Sentiments is a very fun sketch challenge.  I used the Flower Patch bundle to create this card.  Using this set to stamp the flowers then die cutting them with the coordinating framelits was so quick and easy.  Lately I’ve been so in love with using Crumb Cake or Kraft card bases then using a pop of color with images and elements.  I stamped the greeting in Versamark then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  Do you want to know how I got those perfect notches on my banner?  I used the Banner Triple punch.  The Banner Triple Punch gives you triple the banner options in one punch. You can make banners in three widths–1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″–in any length. Just slide the paper in, punch, and get perfectly notched banners (or gift tags, bookmarks, belly bands) every time.  You’re going to love this punch!  The little butterfly was stamped in Cajun Craze with a butterfly from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set.  I then lightly used an Aqua pen to bring in a bit of color to the wings with Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight.

Birthday Butterfly Basics

The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  I have to catch up on birthday cards and decided to use the Butterfly Basics stamp set and framelits.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set!  I took inspiration from the card on page 26 of the Occasions catalog and the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I used the colors of Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding, Hello Honey and Island Indigo.  I used the Butterflies Basics and thinlits die along with Papillion Potpourri stamp set and coordinating punches, Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches.

Stampin Up Birthday Butterfly BasicsI stamped the leaf foliage and flowers followed by the dotted background stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.  The honey comb images are from the Butterflies Basics stamp set, as well as the sentiment. Here’s the sketch tht also inspired my card.

Hearts a Flutter, Love You

With Valentine’s day a few weeks away, I created a Valentine’s day card.  I used the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and stamp set.  Although the stamp set is retired you can still purchase the digital set.  I used the sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments to inspire me and the colors of Real Red, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.

The designer series paper is from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack.  The cute border was created with the new Confetti Hearts Border Punch.  It creates a cute border and lots of cute hearts.  The scalloped red heart is stamped with White Whisper Craft ink then die cut with Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and die cut with a banner from the Bitty Banners Framelits set.  The small hearts are the hearts punched out with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch.  To add sparkle I embellished the card with basic rhinestones and vintage faceted buttons.

Giggle Greetings Happy Birthday

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge.  I created this card with the Giggle Greetings stamp set.  So many cute sentiments are in this set.  I used the Blendabilities to color the image and used the Moonlight designer series paper stack.

Fine Feathers to say Hello

I recently received the Four Feathers bundle, Four Feathers Stamp set and Feathers Framelits.  I love this bundle!  I used it to create this card based on the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

Fine Feathers Hello cardI stamped the feathers with Encore silver ink on Whisper White and Basic Black then die cut them with the Feather Framelits.  The feature paper is from the Back to Black Designer Series paper pack.  I embellished the card with 1/8″ silver and Whisper White Organza ribbon along with the Scallop Edge border punch and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and basic rhinestones.  The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White with Momento Black.

Tap, Tap. Tap, Hello Friend

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  I used my new stamp set Tap, Tap, Tap to create this fun card!  I used the Dictionary background stamp set to create my own DSP.  The burlap ribbon and basic rhinestones are perfect embellishments.  I stamped the typewriter image on Whisper White and fussy cut it.  The sentiment “hello, my friend” is stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White and adhered to the typewriter with dimensional.  To add interest to the card I rounded opposite corners with the corner punch.hello friend typwriter card

Hearts and Butterflies Wedding card

I created this card for Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  I recently purchased the Fancy Foild Designer paper which is so pretty.  Just perfect for a wedding card.  I used the vellum paper with silver hearts and silver glimmer paper.  I added a few die cut butterflies and hearts and VOILA! a beautiful wedding card.

By the Tide inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s 2014-2015 Idea Catalog

My card this week is inspired by page 130 of the new catalog.  Although the stamp set ‘By the Tide’ is not new to the catalog there are many great ideas for projects throughout the catalog.  Every time I look through the catalog I see something new.  Every page is full of ideas on how to use different projects.  This card features watercolor  paper which gives your project an artistic feel.

I stamped the coral on the watercolor layer then went over some of the branches with an aqua pen.  The fish, seahorse and seashell were stamped then fussy cut.  I also stamped the edges of the watercolor paper with the dotted stamp from ‘Gorgeous Grunge’ with Baked Brown Sugar.  I used linen thread at the bottom and tied with white Baker’s twine I dyed with Pear Pizzazz.

To add sparkle I lightly added Dazzling Details to the card.  It’s difficult to see but you should be able see it when you magnify the card.

Unfortunately, we sometimes need sympathy cards and this card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge. I recently had a dear friend pass away and this card will go to his family.
