Colorful Butterflies wish Happy Mother’s day

My card this week is inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments inspiration challenge. From the images I was inspired by the colors and the butterflies. I used the retiring Beauty Abounds stamp set.

I used Whisper White card base and layers and the Beauty Abounds speckled stamp for the background. For the smaller butterflies I used the small butterfly dies and the Butterfly duet punch to die cut butterflies and embellished with basic rhinestones. I also die cut foliage from Silver foil paper and adhered with glue dots. The sentiment is from retired Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped with Momento Black. This was an easy card to put together and can be adapted to birthday, thinking of you or sympathy by changing the colors of the butterflies.

Hello Beautiful

I love walking in my garden.  Every time I do I see blooming flowers and butterflies, which along with Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge, inspired me to create this card.  I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set, Butterfly Duet punch and Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies to create this card.  I stamped the butterflies with Black Moment Ink then colored them with the Blendabilities markers Pool Party light and dark and the Daffodil Delight light and dark   The foliage I die cut gold foil paper with the Butterfly Beauty thinlits.

The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala stamp set.  I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  The card base is Coastal Cabana followed by Bermuda Bay.  The black layer I embossed with the Dynamic Textured Pinewood Planks.

There’s so much to love about Abstract Impressions

I must admit I was a bit intimidated by the stamp set in this bundle.  I always get a bit confused when using multi-layer stamps.  Luckily the stamps are marked with an arrow to help in positioning.  Stamp layering creates beautiful details.  See the Stampin Up! video to see how easy it is to use this stamp set along with the detailed Springtime Thinlits dies.

The card I created with this stamp set is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch.  The flowers and butterfly were die cut using the Springtime Thinlits dies and the greeting is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.  I decided I needed more practice before I tried multi-layering stamping.  I promise to post another card using this technique.

Birthday Butterfly Basics

The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  I have to catch up on birthday cards and decided to use the Butterfly Basics stamp set and framelits.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set!  I took inspiration from the card on page 26 of the Occasions catalog and the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I used the colors of Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding, Hello Honey and Island Indigo.  I used the Butterflies Basics and thinlits die along with Papillion Potpourri stamp set and coordinating punches, Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches.
