A Lasting Lily With Sympathy

This stamp set comes with 16 stamps and is a Distinctive stamp.  A Distinctive stamp has deeply etched images so you get a superior stamped impression.  These type of stamps make beautiful detailed images. 

I created this card with inspiration from Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of  Petal Pink, Fresh Fig and Mossy Green.

The card base I embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder.  On the Whisper White layer I stamped the lily and stem images using the Stamparatus.  I stamped the sentiment on Petal Pink then die cut with the Pretty Label punch.  I embellished with the 5/8 inch polka dot tulle ribbon and basic rhinestones.

Another Abstract Impressions card

As promised, I created another card using the Abstract Impressions bundle.  This time I used the three stamps to create the Daffodil Delight roses.  It’s so easy to stamp these roses.  Just line up the arrows at the top and stamp using the lightest color first using the stamp with least detail as the base then stamp with a darker ink and use the darkest color to stamp with the most detailed stamp.  I inked up my stamp then stamped off twice before stamping, followed by inking the second stamp and stamping off once before stamping.  The last stamp I inked and stamped full strength.  I used the two-stamp method for creating the leaves.  I fussy cut the roses and the leaves and used the dies from the bundle to die cut the detailed floral background the five petaled flowers on the greeting.  The sentiment is from the retired Rose Wonder stamp set then die cut using the Pretty Label punch.  I embellished with a butterfly stamped with the retired Papillon  Potpourri stamp set then colored with markers and die cut using the retired Bitty Butterfly punch.  For extra sparkle I embellished with basic rhinestones and colored the roses, butterfly and leaves with Clear Wink of Stella.

So Many Shells for Sympathy Card

I just received the So Many Shells stamp set.  It has the two step stamps which adds texture and dimension to the shell images.  I used the colors of Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  For the background I used watercolor paper and used an Aqua Painter to color with Pool Party.   I stamped the shells on Whisper White and fussy cut each shell.  The sentiments is from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set and stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black.

I used gold metallic thread behind the shells for texture and used Clear Wink of Stella on the Shells to add sparkle and shimmer.  This was an easy card to make.Stampin Up So Many Shells Sympathy cardJoin Hand Stamped Sentiments for this fun color challenge and see more inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Falling in Love Suite Sympathy Card

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an Inspiration Challenge.  Spring is the inspiration and my card was inspired by the colors of spring which are perfect for the sympathy card I had in mind.  I CASED the card from the Occasions Catalog.  The DSP and doily give this card a special touch. The doily is white on one side and ivory on the other.  I used the white side to contrast with the Very Vanilla sentiment layer.   I used paper from the Falling in Love DSP collection.  The bokeh blurred pattern on the paper are soft and pretty.  I layered vellum underneath the lace doily.  The sentiment is stamped with Soft Sky and Crumb Cake and is from the Rose Wonder stamp set.  I die cut it with the Decorative Label punch and framed with Soft Sky.  The card is embellished with basic pearls.  Super easy card to make!

Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy card

My card this week is inspired by the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments of Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand.  I created this simple sympathy card.  I used Stampin’ Up! markers to ink the floral branch and embellished with pearls and Sahara Sand lace ribbon.

Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, we sometimes need sympathy cards and this card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge. I recently had a dear friend pass away and this card will go to his family.
