Perfect Pennants, Perfectly Wonderful Life

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color splash challenge with the  beautiful rich colors of Blackberry Biss, Delightful Dijon and Mossy Green.  These colors are perfect for creating a fall project.  Once again I was inspired by a project on page 65 of the 2015-2016 Catalog and Idea book.  With so many little things that sometimes go wrong in life, the greeting is a perfect sentiment to maintain perspective.  The Perfect Pennants stamp set, Banner framelits along with the Bow Builder punch made it easy to create this card.

Give Thanks for Thankful Forest Friends

This week we have a color challenge of Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Cajun Craze.  Perfect colors for a fall or Halloween card.  I used the stamp sets Thankful Forest Friends and Vintage Leaves which have great images for fall cards.  To die cut the leaves I used the Leaflets Framelits.  I fussy cut the fox and for the greeting I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image and die cut with the 2-1/2″ circle punch.  The background layer I embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing folder.  The Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist stitched satin ribbons are retired from last year.

Say Thanks with Vintage Leaves

This week on Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge of Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Pool Party.   For my project I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set with coordinating framelits.   I stamped the leaves in Tangerine Tango on Very Vanilla card stock.  I sponged Daffodil Delight and Pool Party on the leaves.  The background I embossed with the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The sentiment was die cut from gold foil paper with the Hello You Thinlit dies.  Creating this card was easy!

Many Thanks with a Beautiful Bunch

Inspiration for this week’s challenge comes from the current Stampin Up! Catalog and Idea book from page 92.  I just love the Tangerine Tango with Pool Party and Lost Lagoon!  I used the Brick Wall embossing folder for the background lightly sponged with Pool Party for a little bit of color.  I created a tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  The flower was stamped tone on tone with Tangerine Tango.  I stamped it twice and die cut with the Fun Flower Punch and die cut the center with the 7/8″ Scalloped Punch. The sequins are retired Coastal Cabana but close enough to Pool Party.  The leaves are silver glitter paper.

Watercolor Wings and Bold Butterflies

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.  I just received the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer bundle and was inspired by this color challenge to create beautiful butterflies.  This stamp set makes it so easy to create beautiful watercolor butterflies.

I used a Whisper White card base to feature the butterflies.  I used the three colors to create each butterfly.  One butterfly is stamped at full strength and for the other I stamped off for a light er color.  For sparkle, I added gold foil butterflies die cut with the Bold Buttefly Framelits and Bermuda Bay sequins.  The sentiment is from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  The spots on the background are stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.

Thinking of you in 2015-2017 New In Colors

For this week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge.  I love the inspiration this sketch provided.  I used some of the new In Colors 2015-2017 to create this ‘Thinking of You’ card.

Stampin up In Colors 2015-2017 I used Natural Ivory for my card base and layered with the Mint Macaron.  For additional interest I used the corner punch to round opposite corners.  I stamped the spotted background with Mint Macaron using a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.  I also used the fern stamp from Birthday Basics.  The leaves and the flower were stamped with stamps from the Crazy about You.  The leaves in Cucumber Crush and the flower in Watermelon Wonder are prefect cheerful colors.  The butterfly is stamped with Black Stazon and I used Delightful Dijon and Mint Macaron to sponge the wings.  The beautiful Delightful Dijon lace ribbon is also from new 2015-2017 In Colors collection.

Your Perfect Day Wedding Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge of Strawberry Slush, Hello Honey and Night of Navy.  I recently purchased the “Your Perfect Day” stamp set and thought these colors would be perfect for a modern wedding card.

I stamped the wreath with Night of Navy but stamped off first so the image would be a lighter shade.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark then embossed with Sterling Silver embossing powder.  I stamped the flowers in Hello Honey and Strawberry Slush.  I also used the small flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  I embellished the bottom of the card with a border from the Finishing Touches Edgelits and Venetian Crochet Trim and small Vintage Faceted button.

For Peep’s Sake Enjoy An Egg-Cellent Easter

Hello!  I’m glad to be back creating and blogging.  I’ve been gone for a few week’s due to my father’s passing.  It’s been difficult to get back into the routine of life and to muster up the motivation to be creative.  It’s coming back little by little and  getting back into my craft room and being among my stamp sets and inks has been inspiring.  More inspiration has also come from seeing projects from the Hand Stamped Sentiments design team.

I used the colors of Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi from the Hand Stamped Sentiments color splash challenge.  I also have so many great products from the Occasions catalog I had not had an opportunity to use.  One of them is the super cute Easter set For Peep’s Sake.  Perfect for Easter or cute spring card.  Another product I had to play with is the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  You can create beautiful die cut butterflies with this set.  With so many great products and the colors provided by HSS I was inspired to create this Easter card.

Groovy Love From My Heart

This week’s challenge is a color splash challenge with the colors of Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo.  These colors inspired me to use my Groovy Love stamp set and coordinating heart punch to create this card.  I also used the new Happy Heart embossing folder from the Occasions catalog on the Whisper White layer along with the Fun Frames embossing folders for the hearts.  After embossing the frame on to Whisper White I cut the frame and sponged with Melon Mambo.

I stamped the polka dot heart and used the Sweetheart punch to die cut it.  I also used the punch to die cut a Melon Mambo and Whisper White hearts.  The edges of the Whisper White heart is sponged with Melon Mambo.  I then adhere the hearts on to the frame with Dimensionals.  I then used 1/8″ Melon Mambo taffeta ribbon to embellish.

Festival of Trees

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color splash challenge with the colors of Tempting Turquoise, Smoky Slate and Pool Party.  As soon as I saw these colors I knew I wanted to create a card with the Festival of Trees bundle.  Creating this card was easy with the Tree Punch!

I stamped the tree images with Versamark and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin’ Emboss Powder and embellished with rhinestones.  The background is Silver Glimmer Paper and the snow hill is Whisper White card stock.
