My Digital Studio Friend card and a NEW CATALOG!

I created this card on My Digital Studio for Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge.  Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride.   My digital card was also inspired by a card on page 111 of the new Stampin’ Up! catalog.  YES!  It’s a brand new catalog with so many wonderful products.  You can see the catalog by clicking on the image of the catty on the right side of my blog.

Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, we sometimes need sympathy cards and this card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge. I recently had a dear friend pass away and this card will go to his family.

I used the retired Island Indigo ruffled ribbon pleated around the oval.

Happiness is: Scrapbooking with Stampin’ Up! My Digital Studio

Here it is again!  Another fun color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Lately I have been making an effort to use My Digital Studio to scrapbook pages with my fur babies.  I took the pictures I used in this page in March when our irises bloomed.  I thought it would be cute to take photos of my pets with the irises but some how they don’t always do what I want.  I did manage to photograph Chula my Chihuahua in front of them but she really wasn’t interested.  The only way I could get a cute pic of my kitty was to put him in this basket since he loves boxes and small places.  He stayed in the basket just long enough for me to snap a picture.

People Like You Watercolor Card

A sketch challenge!  That’s this week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  For this card I used some  wonderful products from the Occasions catalog.

The flower stamp with sentiment is called ‘People Like You’.  I stamped it on watercolor paper with Versamark and heat embossed with Early Espresso.  I added color with a watercolor pen and ink pads.  I layered it over Tangerine Tango then layered over Water Color Wonder Designer Series paper and layered over Daffodil Delight.

The dotted Tangerine Tango banner is created using Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi tape and embellished with pearls I colored with an orange permanent marker.

I stamped the sentiment again and embossed with Early Espresso then die cut with the Decorative Label punch and adhered with dimensionals.  I also used a small piece of a Tea lace Doily to embellish the sentiment.

It’s Sale-a-bration!

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.  Since my craft room is still in disarray I used My Digital Studio to create this 8″ x 8″ scrapbook page.  I found these photos I took of my Bengal kitties in a Sale-a-bration box and I knew I wanted to create a scrapbook page.  Sadly the kitty with the topaz eyes is no longer with us but I still have photos and memories to remember him.

Valentine You Send Me Soaring Card

I’m so glad for My Digital Studio!  I’m in the middle of re-organizing my craft room and everything is upside down.  So for this week’s challenge My Digital Studio was a lifesaver.  This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge – Rose Red, Smoky Slate and Midnight Muse.  Currently I’m into creating Valentine cards with unconventional colors and these were perfect.  I love the digital stamp set Send me Soaring.  Cute kite and cloud images!

Valentine’s with Stampin’ Up! Circle and Label Thinlits die

Love the Circle and Label Thinlits dies!  This week for Handstamped Sentiments Sketch challenge I created this card using the Circle Thinlits die with elements from the Label Thinlits.

For this fun card I used a new Valentine’s color combo of Real Red, Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.  It was a lot of fun creating this card using Stampin’ Up! items from my latest stash from the Occasions catalog.  So many Stampin’ Up! products to play with with and so little time.    The Circle thinlits die made it so easy to create this card.

I started with a Whisper White card base of 5-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ then die cut using the Circle framelits die and the Big Shot.

I used the Real Red from the Polka Dot Parade DSP on the right panel then just went crazy embellishing with hearts and such.  I also used the Large Scallop Edgelits die to die cut the scallop edge in Real Red.  The left side of the panel is stamped with the “Countless Sayings 1” Photopolymer Stamp set.  If you haven’t tried Stampin’ Up!’s Photopolymer stamps, you’re in for a treat.  The images are crisp and you can see precisely where you’re stamping.

Also used was the heart from the Owl builder punch.  The sentiment “love ya”  is from the “Just Sayin’ stamp set and Thinlits bundle.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder.  The “i love u’ is from the Label Card Thinlits die set.  Also used was the scallop heart die from ” Hearts a Flutter” framelits set and the Small heart punch.  To finish the card I used lots basic rhinestones.

Happy Birthday! Another Great Year Another Great Birthday!

For those of you wondering where I’ve been.  I caught a bad cold on Christmas Day that persisted through New Year’s.  I certainly did not want to the start year in bed but I did.  I missed a few days from work and now feel like I’m finally over it.  I missed posting my project for the challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments but managed to create these two birthday cards using the stamp set Another Great Year.  I have two friends with birthdays and I wanted to use this very fun stamp set.  I made two cards in two color stories.

This first card I used the color challenge colors at Hand Stamped Sentiments – Wisteria Wonder, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana.

For this card I stamped the “Happy Birthday” first in Strawberry Slush on the Whisper White layer, cleaned the stamp, then inked up the stamp with Versamark and stamped on Strawberry Slush cardstock and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool. Using my paper snips I then cut out the “happy” and “to you” banner pieces so I could layer them over the Strawberry Slush stamped image to give it dimension and a bit of a “split negative” look.  For embellishments I used the Mosaic punch to punch the tiles from Silver Glimmer paper and used a sponge dauber to color with Coastal Cabana ink.  I used Wisteria Wonder CS for the flower punched using the Punch Pack.  Finally to finish it off I used rhinestones.

Stampin' Up! Another Great Year birthday cardI finished the inside of the card with more of the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, Strawberry Slush, ribbon and stamped the mosaic tiles from the stamp set “Mosaic Madness”.

The next card I created using the colors of Crisp Cantaloup, Pistachio Pudding and Pool Party.  The DSP I used to pull these colors together comes from the new Occasions Catalog – Sweet Sorbet.  Oh so pretty!  Love the colors!

I used the same layering and embossing technique as the previous card but used different colors and stamps and Voila!
