I just received the Petal Palette bundle. It’s one of those bundles you don’t realize have so many great elements until you really look at it. This is a great bundle because you can create many different types of cards. The greetings are perfect for thank you, wedding, graduation or just because. The greeting I ended up using is from the Wood Words bundle then die cut with one of the dies from the Petal Palette bundle.
My card was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Soft Sky, Lemon Twist and Flirty Flamingo. I love this color combo!
The images lend themselves to being colored with markers, pencils or water-colored. I colored the flowers and leaves on my card with a blender pen and ink pads. The larger leaf foliage and die cut banners were also die cut with dies from the Petal Palette bundle.
I used a die from the retired Labels Collection, stamped with retired texture stamp from Gorgeous Grunge with retired Encore gold ink, for the layer behind the flowers and foliage. It was the perfect element to spotlight the flowers and greeting. The Soft Sky background was embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing folder. For added sparkle I finished the card with basic rhinestones.
Go to Hand Stamped Sentiments to be inspired by the design team. So many beautiful cards!
