Thinking of you Seaside Bay Card

Inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Old Olive I created this card with the Seaside Bay Suite. The card base is Balm Blue and the patterned layer is from the By the Bay 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack.

Love the clam shell die which I embossed with gold embossing powder. The Balmy Blue an White ribbon behind the clam shell is also from the suite. I also used gold cording to embellish. The sentiment, grass and shell are also from the suite. Inside the clam shell I added a flat adhesive backed pearl for a surprise.

A Texture Chic Birthday

Love is in the air with Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge. I love the colors and images of their inspiration image. I was inspired by the heart shape. I couldn’t resist creating another card with the Texture Chic Suite. I started with a Basic White card stock and used retired Stampin’ Up Hearts Framilits to create the heart shape card.

I then cut another heart from the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the front of the card. The rest of the die cuts I used the Chic dies. The waffle background I die cut from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. I also die cut the flower outline out of the gold foil and die cut the inner part of the flower from Vellum. The other flowers are die cut from Basic White. The greeting is stamped with Early Espresso and die cut using the retired Artisan Label punch I embellished with a small Brushed Brass Butterfly and retired metallic gold edge petal pink ribbon.

The swoosh image is from the Season of Chic and stamped with Petal Pink ink and the greeting is stamped in Early Espresso and is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set.

A Wish for a Happy New Year

This week’s sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments inspired my card this week. No stamping just die cutting.

I used the Stitched Stars dies and retired Word Wishes dies. The striped gold paper is retired from the holiday Sale-a-bration. The gold paper is from the Gold & Rose 6″ x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper pack. I embellished with basic rhinestones and gold cording from the Simply Elegant pack. This card came together very easy!

A Quiet Meadow Thinking of You

I finally put ink to the Quiet Meadow stamp set and inspired by the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I wanted to make a monochromatic card and decided to use Polished Pink. The background was sponged with Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia. The flower images, text and sentiment were stamped with Polished Pink. The splatters were stamped with Crumb Cake. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies. The flower I fussy cut and sponged color then used Wink of Stella all over the flower.

Here’s the sketch that inspired my card. Visit Hand Stamped Sentiments for more inspiration from the design team.

Painted Christmas Merry Melody Pinecones Christmas Card

With Christmas around the corner I created another Christmas card using the Painted Christmas suite and inspiration from the Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. The card base is Real Red, the Shimmery White layer I embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. The foliage and pinecones I die cut from the Christmas Pinecone Dies. I used Early Espresson and Gold Foil for the pincones. The foliage I die cut from Evening Evergreen card stock. The ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set then embellished with red rhinestones jewels.

The card base is Basic White, Painted Christmas DSP, Pine branches die cut from Evening Evergreen. The Basic White label was die cut also from the suite. The other foliage was also die cut using dies from the suite. The sprig punch was used to die cut sprigs from gold Metallic Specialty paper. Gold Foil paper was used for the pine cones and the banner strip behind the label. The banner strip was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The sentiment was heat embossed with gold on a banner die cut from Merry Merlot with a die also from the suite. The card was embellished with In-Color jewels

Just for you Sweet Strawberry Valentine

With Valentine’s day so close I was inspired to create another project.  I had saved  a Russell Stover’s heart shaped box with the idea of repurposing it.  So I decided to re-use the box to create a gift for my hubby.  I’m going to put some sweet memories in the form of my favorite pictures in the box and give it to him on Valentine’s day.  I was also inspired by the color challenge of Real Red, Blushing Bride and Bermuda Bay at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I started with embossing a piece of Whisper White paper then embossing with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I then adhered it to the top of the heart box then cut to the lid with paper snips.  I adhered a Vellum Doily followed by gold hoop.  I was inspired by the card on page 44 of the mini catalog to create the 3D strawberries.  I first stamped the strawberries with Real Red on Real Red paper then die cut with the Strawberry Builder Punch. I added the leaves stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on Bermuda Bay paper.  I also added gold springs die cut with the sprig punch,  Other embellishments include Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, retired 3/8″ Sheer Real Red ribbon and basic rhinestones.  The sentiment is stamped on Blushing Bride with Real Red.

Happy Halloween with a Flight of Fancy

I have been wanting to make a Halloween card with the Flight of Fancy stamp set and was inspired by the catalog sample and the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I haven’t made a slim line card in a long time and thought it was the perfect time to make one .  To refresh my memory I had help from Ana Helman.  She has the dimensions and a tutorial on her blog.  I started with Whisper White Heavy card stock base then a layer of Rich Razzleberry. The next Whisper White Heavy card stock layer I sponged with Gorgeous Grape then stamped with the stars, sentiment then heat embossed with gold.  The cute witch image I stamped with Momento Black then used a blender pen with Rich Razzleberry and Petal Pink Blender pen for the face then fussy cut.  I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Blends pen to color the stars and moon on her dress and hat.  I also used the lighter of the black Blender pens to color her cute mouse companion.  For the air stream behind the broom I stamped Vellum card stock with Versamark then heat embossed with gold embossing powder then fussy cut and adhered to the broom.  I used dimensionals to pop her up and make her look like she’s hovering above the clouds.  The clouds I die cut using the retired Up and Away Thinlits dies and the Tree of Life builder punch.  I also cut free hand the first layer of clouds at the bottom of the card.  The clouds I sponged with So Saffron as well as the moon.

Here’s the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Also, checkout the projects from the design team.
