Autumn Leaves

My inspiration for today’s card comes from PPA.  It was a sketch challenge designed by Margaret Moody.  Since there’s a crispness in the air I decided to use my Autumn Splendor stamp set again.  I love the leaf shapes and they can be many different colors and colored with markers or water color pencils.  I love using water color pencils and blending the colors with a blender pen.  I hope this inspires you with your fall crafts.

Friendship blooms in color PPA11

I wanted to use my Friendship Blooms stamp set and I had the perfect opportunity with this week’s PPA color challenge:  Perfect Plum, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie.  I love these colors together!  Using Julie Cavison’s tutorial, original concept by Jackie Topa,  I made a side step card.    I hope this inspires you to make this type of card.  It’s super easy.

The Splendid Table

When you’re getting ready for Thanksgiving don’t just think about what you’re going to wear.  Your table also needs to be dressed to look inviting.  My Thanksgiving table will look splendid with my new napkin rings, place cards and decorated candles all done with Stampin’ Up! products.  My guests will also be invited with coordinating invitations.  Stampin’ Up! Products are so versatile.  The Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper all so beautiful I had a difficult time deciding on which pattern to use.  I wanted a dressy coordinating ribbon and ended up using an ivory organza ribbon that I dyed with the Soft Suede ink pad.  I hope this inspires you to dress up your table for Thanksgiving.

A note of Gratitude and Thanks PPA10

Being grateful and thankful is not only for Thanksgiving.  To live a balanced life we all must be thankful of everything everyday.  Thankful for family, friends, work and for the opportunity to create and live our lives the very best we can.  We must take a moment everyday smell the roses and be grateful.  Every experience and moment shapes our being and allows us to grow.  Not only this Thanksgiving but every day I try to take note and be grateful for everything in my life.  This project is for the PPA weekly challenge Gratitude and Thanks.  I was so excited because I just received the SU Autumn Splendor stamp set.  This is my first project using this set.

Fluttering with Fall

Often I take inspiration for my cards from what I see in my garden.  I try to always have my camera since you never know where you can get your next idea or photo op.  I’m glad I had my camera on this day since these butterfly pictures were all taken on the same day!   The Pride of Barbados flower with its orange, yellow and red color coordinated perfectly with the in colors, dusty durango, crushed curry, melon mambo and rich razzleberry SU papers and inks.  Enjoy the butterflies.  They’re almost gone.

Welcome Fall 2009!

Cool weather is here!  This weather sure does beat the 100 degree + days we had just a few weeks ago.  I am so excited for the change in the weather it has inspired me to create cards with a fall theme.  I created the following with SU stamp sets For All You Do and Forest Friends. I love these stamp sets they are so versatile.

I recently had my first SU party with a group of fabulous gals and showed these cards.  I hope these inspire you too and I would love to see your creations.
