Although the first day of fall was September 23, it’s still summer in San Antonio, Texas. I have my fall wreath on my door and my mantle decorated with leaves and pumpkins in anticipation for a cool reprieve of say 75 degrees so we can say it’s fall. Fall in some states can be quite beautiful with trees in different colors of yellow, orange and red. Here we will see some color changes in trees. Until then the leaves on the card I created today will have to do and is inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments color challenge of Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron, Terracotta Tile and Grapefruit Grove. When I saw these colors I immediately thought of fall leaves.
I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers dies to create my card. This card came together very quickly with stamping the leaves and die cutting leaves out of gold foil as accents. The sentiment is also from the set and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The leaves layer is adhered to a Pretty Peacock layer on a Thick White Card stock. I also used Clear Faceted gems and 3/8″ linen ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack to embellish.
