Strength & Hope Class

This is a reminder that today, August 15th, is the last day to sign up for the Strength & Hope Class. 

This class will give you the opportunity to make beautiful cards and a 3D item and have the option to take your own stamp set home.  Do this and help the BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION earn money.

For every Strength and Hope stamp set that is sold from now until the end of August $2 will be donated to the BCRF!!! Everyone can help, and you get to go home with awesome projects.  There are a few options you have to choose from-

NEW Class – Strength and Hope

CLASS:  Strength & Hope Card Class – for Breast Cancer Research Foundation

DATE:  August 26

TIME:  6 pm to 8 pm (Central)

LOCATION:  2811 Stokely Hill, 78258

This class will give you the opportunity to make beautiful cards and have the option to take your own stamp set home.  Do this and help the BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION earn money.

For every Strength and Hope stamp set that is sold from now until the end of August $2 will be donated to the BCRF!!! Everyone can help, and you get to go home with awesome projects.  There are a few options you have to choose from-

Option 1 is $20: Class & Projects – this option will allow you the opportunity to make the class projects (4 cards of different designs) and a package of pearls to be used on your projects.  Envelopes are included with this class fee.

Option 1 - $20

Option 2 is $33: Class & Projects & Clear Mount Stamp Set– this option will give you the following.

  • projects (4 cards of different designs includes envelopes)
  •  package of pearls (150, 3 sizes)
  • clear mount Strength & Hope stamp set

With this option you are getting a $5 discount off the basic class option.  PLUS Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 to the BCRF thanks to you!!!

Option 2 - $33

Option 3 is $37: Class & Projects & Wood Mount Stamp Set– this option will give you the following

  • projects (4 cards of different designs includes envelopes)
  • package of pearls (150, 3 sizes)
  • wood mount Strength & Hope stamp set

Flourish Fever

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have Flourish Fever!  What is a flourish you ask?  Well for our challenge it is a decorative image with sweeping or fanciful curves or lines.  I immediately thought of the flourish in the Strength and Hope stamp set and the digital background papers.  I went for the shabby chic style and this is what I created.

I stamped the solid heart in Pretty in Pink from the I (heart) Hearts stamp set then for that sparkle I covered it in Dazzling Diamonds and added the pearls.  I distressed the edges by sponging them with Soft Suede and also using the Cutter Kit to tatter the edges.  The flower layers were scrunched and the edges sponged to distress it.

Strength & Hope Butterfly Card – Let’s Fight Breast Cancer!

This past weekend I held a workshop and my make-and-take was a card I saw in the May issue of SUCCESS.  SUCCESS is a magazine for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and is a valuable tool to helping us with our business.   I used the colors and punches I own to create the card.  My customers loved making it.  Plus it showcased the stamp set so well.  With each purchase of this stamp set Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide.

A tisket a tasket a Mother’s Day basket

This week we’re celebration mom at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The challenge is to make any project – card, gift set, gift card holder, scrapbook page or any 3D project with mom in mind.  We’d love to see your creativity.

I’m so excited about my project this week because it is a sneak peek for the Strength & Hope Stamp set which donates $2 from every purchase of this set to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  This set is so beautiful.  I also used the Four Frames set which is available through the end of April and it is a set that will next be available with new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  I would love to see how you’re going to show mom how much you care.  I can’t wait to see your creation.

The basket is from a template I saw on Sassy Scrapper’s blog.  I embellished the basket with a rose I made using the Fancy Flower punch and the butterfly from the new Strength & Hope Stamp set which will be available on May 1st.  The card featured DSP from the Strength and Hope Digital Download.  If you’re wondering how I made the butterfly two-tone, I sponged the lighter color of Pear Pizzazz then Marina Mist on the outer edge, stamped then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  For great instructions on how to make the quilled rose.  Go to Tara Bilbao, she has a great instructional video on her blog on how to make them.
