Thank you with a Bunch of Blossoms Flower

The thank you card I created is based on Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge.  I used the colors of Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Emerald Envy.  I created the flower using the new Bunch of Blossoms Bundle.  The petals and leaves were created with 3 step stamping to create shading and depth then die cut with the Blossom Builder Punch.  The sentiment was created with the Thoughtful Banners Bundle.  This bundle comes with a great stamp set with many sentiments and banner images and the Duet Banner punch.  Together you can create banners with many sentiments.

Emboss Resist Mixed Bunch Card

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a technique challenge for you – emboss resist.  This technique is lots of fun!  If you haven’t done it before, there’s a great tutorial and video on SCS.  For my card this week I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom punch.  I stamped the flower images then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I added color with sponge daubers and embellished with basic rhinestones colored with Sharpies.  The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and Melon Mambo then heat embossed with clear.  I made a triple loop bow using the 1/2″ Daffodil Delight seam binding.

Think Pink ! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments the challenge is to Think Pink!  Create any project with pink.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and HSS would like to remind you that early detection is the key.

For my card this week I was inspired by having a friend to encourage and remind you to do your monthly exams and to schedule a mammogram.  So my card this week features two owl friends or in this case bosom friends.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Splash Challenge

This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a color challenge with the bright colors of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise.  I love these happy colors.  When I look at them they make me smile.  I CASED this card from Jolene Slack.  The card was featured in the May 2010 Success magazine.  All the layering adds dimension to this card.  I especially like the Scallop Square Clear Bigz Die and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Die.  They are perfect for so many projects.  I stamped the Whisper White layer with the All A Flutter butterfly stamp in Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.  The Melon Mambo butterfly is behind a Vellum frame.  I love the soft look.  I used retired Trio Flower punch for the flowers and embellished with half pearls and White Satin ribbon.  I used the Friends sentiment from the Tiny Tags stamp set and punched it out with the Jewelry Tag punch.
