I recently visited the botanical gardens in Dallas and they were beautiful. There were so many types of gardens, birds and insects. One of my favorite type of gardens are pond gardens. I happened to see an Empress lotus in a pond with dragonflies flying around. The wings of the dragonflies are so beautiful. When the sunlight hits their wings you can see they are an iridescent blue color.
The inspiration challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments inspired me to make a card with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp and framelits set and CASED from a video from Understand Blue. Lynda is a wonderful artist and her card inspired me to create this card. As in her video I used a pencil eraser to create the Bokeh effect around the dragonfly with Pool Party and stamped the dragon fly with Blueberry Metallic Gelato then finished with Clear Wink of Stella. I embellished the card with sequins and rhinestones.
More inspiration may be found at Hand Stamped Sentiments from the design team. Create a project inspired by the Oceanarium art print by Biljana Kroll. This image is rich in images of the ocean. I was inspired by the blues. I’d love to see how the print inspired you.
