PPA23 Anything but a Card – Valentine boxes

These heart boxes were created for the PPA23 challenge.  The challenge was to create anything but a card and since Valentine’s day is right around the corner I decided to make these cute boxes.  The template is located here.  Since it is a Word document you can adjust the size of the box.  I have also included a pdf version here.

PPA22 – Simple Sketch Challenge

Another Snow Swirled Christmas

Here’s another batch of Christmas cards I made with the Snow Swirled stamp set.  I continued with using one ink color per card but this time I did one with a layer of metallic brushed gold paper.  As I mentioned in an earlier entry these are super easy to make and take no time.  Back to making my last few cards.

Amidst Christmas is a Happy Birthday Wish!

It always seems that birthdays in December are a bit overshadowed by Christmas.  So in honor of my friends birthday, which was on December 21, I decided to make a card for her using her favorite colors Always Artichoke and Old Olive.  I added the gold and black for elegance.  I like the results.  I hope this provides inspiration for your December birthday cards. By the way I don’t think this year she felt her birthday overshadowed by Christmas.  Her birthday was very celebrated.  She received many gifts and some were from Stampin’ Up!

A Snow Swirled Christmas

Well as usual I am behind on my Christmas cards.  But with the Snow Swirled stamp set I was able to make some elegant Christmas cards very quickly.  I used the SU kraft brown paper and made each card with one ink color .  Super simple!  I hope you’ve already mailed your cards for the holidays and not doing it at the last minute like me.

A no stamping gift card

This simple 3″ x 3″ Christmas card can be used for a gift card.  The poinsettia is made with this online template.  You can decide how big you want the poinsettia by either enlarging or decreasing the size of the template.  I cut out the pieces and with a stylus I embossed the leaves and stems.  After embossing I sponged the petals, leaves and centers with black ink to give the flower depth.  I used snail to adhere the petals and the centers then punched 4 holes to lace hemp twine then tied with a simple knot.

Happy Holiday Crafting!

Voilà, Merci! It’s all gone to the French

Here’s another card I made using the little chef from the Voila! stamp set with a Christmas twist.  This card was made to thank a dear friend for a wonderful holiday dinner.  She also shares my addiction for stamping and loves all things French.  To thank her I made this card using the paper piecing technique with scraps from the Christmas Jingle Scrappin’ kit.

Introducing Clear Mount Stamp Sets

clear mount stamps photo

Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting on January 5th, with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin’ Up! will offer exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.

You get the very best image quality because the stamps are made of the same rubber as in our wood stamps.  The difference is you can save on space because the stamps come in a space saving DVD-type clear box conveniently labeled on the side.  With these stamps you can position them on the clear blocks as you like and see through the block to see where your stamping.

Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features

  • Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
  • Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
  • Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist.
  • Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
  • Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
  • Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
  • Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.

I am so excited and can hardly wait to get my clear mount stamps.  I am going to store mine in a DVD wire rack for easy storage.   Until next time!
