With Valentine’s day so close I was inspired to create another project. I had saved a Russell Stover’s heart shaped box with the idea of repurposing it. So I decided to re-use the box to create a gift for my hubby. I’m going to put some sweet memories in the form of my favorite pictures in the box and give it to him on Valentine’s day. I was also inspired by the color challenge of Real Red, Blushing Bride and Bermuda Bay at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I started with embossing a piece of Whisper White paper then embossing with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered it to the top of the heart box then cut to the lid with paper snips. I adhered a Vellum Doily followed by gold hoop. I was inspired by the card on page 44 of the mini catalog to create the 3D strawberries. I first stamped the strawberries with Real Red on Real Red paper then die cut with the Strawberry Builder Punch. I added the leaves stamped with Bermuda Bay ink on Bermuda Bay paper. I also added gold springs die cut with the sprig punch, Other embellishments include Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, retired 3/8″ Sheer Real Red ribbon and basic rhinestones. The sentiment is stamped on Blushing Bride with Real Red.
